that link leads to a countdown clock on MGoBlue.com

It has the Michigan 150 logo which is commemorating the 150th season of Michigan Athletics, but does anyone have any guesses for what this will be?

The clock will expire on August 1st at 1pm.

The embed codes that Twitter generates have a strange reaction to whatever Drupal module deals with embedded content on the board, particularly in the original posts - sometimes, if you wait a bit and leave the page open, the correct content should appear. Not sure if that's a version that needs updating or what, but it usually does work in the replies consistently. The slide show on the site is recommended for the historic images though.

They are the greatest DJs in the world and holy fuck I am jealous that you went to 100. I watched it live and a bunch of times afterward. I also saw them in Pittsburgh earlier this year - my first time ever. I just stood there in amazement; barely moved. I am really looking forward to 150. It is on a college football Saturday, so I will be awake early to watch it.

Peppers will start taking snaps at all 22 starting postions on both sides of the ball. Excluding punter and kicker.

150 years of Michigan Athletics? Not sure why they'd pick August 3rd.

From MGoBlue Traditions:

Intercollegiate competition officially began in 1865-66 when the baseball team won its first three contests it played that season.

When would they have been playing baseball back then? I can find their record listed as 3-0, but no dates or teams played.

It's when they will unveil some godawful pop-rawk fight song that nobody wants except the student government kids who want to pad their resumes.

I'm going to guess this will be something completely stupid. Just the 'Baugh bringing enthusiasm unknown to mankind to something mundane that even us degenerate junkies won't care about. 1st team meeting or team meal. This is just blah if they won't just say what the Frick they are talking about.... IMO at least. Uninformed as it is.
