I understand Bell had a lot of yards, but he didn't even average 5 yards per rush. And one of his carries should have gone for negative 2 yards if Boise could tackle but he got 35 yards instead. Yes, Bell had a good game. But any player who rushes the ball 44 times should have at least 200 yards. I'm more impressed how much State had to rely on him than I am with his performance. They are going to be in a lot of trouble if they are forced to do that again this year

Bell played great.  He's the "real deal."  But, if you cannot see that your offense is one dimensional, and that is a severe liability, then you're delusional.  Oh wait, you're Sparty, my bad, delusional is your state of being.

Phork's actually a Domer, but he's an all-purpose troll.  He can't troll about ND's performance on the field, so he desperately tried to attack Hoke's integrity in player discipline.  With that, too, gone, he's got nothing left but to live vicariously through Sparty.  That, my friend, is a cry for help.

Please, tell me more about Bell. I didn't know from the box score how many yards he had receiving....I can't read those darn things. So the "55" under the yards category for Michigan State receiving tells me how many receiving yards he had? How crazy is that?!?!

The msu offense looked bad against a team that returned 2 defensive starters.  My guess is the 2 starters were 2-3* kids.  So, yeah, I'm not impressed with the sparty offense.

They didn't have a player north of 3 stars on the field.  Mostly 2's and 3's.  If you go off of the rivals ratings, they're actually not that far off from CMU's. Who happen to have a competent quarterback and running game, and inexplicably get the spartans at home next week.   This could be an opportunity to make some money.

I think you're serioulsy undervaluing Chris Petersen coaching ability.  In 6 seasons that man has amassed an outrageous 73-6 record with the same 2-3* player you're talking about.

Doug Martin was a 2-star recruit in high school, and now he's the starting RB for Tampa Bay. The Lions have both Kellen Moore and Titus Young, both of whom were 3 stars that Petersen coached into the NFL.

Sparty had superior personnel, as many here thought they would, but their terrible play at QB and questionable playcalling kept the game close.  I hope Maxwell is this bad against Michigan, when he faces a team that might be able to put some real pressure on him.

Boise State simply is not a good team this year.  They are down in talent at all the key positions.  The QB has some skills but is inexperienced, both lines are weak and they miss tackles like crazy.  Decent win for Sparty...but Boise is no better than a lower echelon BT team this year...like maybe a small step above Minnesota.
