Most weather reports say Iowa City game time temps in the upper 30's low 40's.

I think the cold weather is going to cause some problems for both teams. I hope RR was right when he said the problems with the line can be fixed and our running game explodes. Also my fingers are crossed that Brandon Minor is indeed close to 100%.

High 30's low 40's really isn't that cold. As long as the wind isn't too bad and it doesn't rain. Both teams will be pumped for a night game and the equipment managers will provide what they need to stay warm. Plus the cold will effect both teams equally - they'll be fine.

One time I walked outside and it was in the high 30's low 40's and I was cold. I went to McDonalds and bought a coffee and I sat in a booth and drank it. I felt much warmer. I went back outside and it was cold again.

If you look at the hour by hour forecast for Iowa City, the rain is supposed to stop by 6pm. 8pm shows 39 degrees with a 20% chance of rain, 9pm and beyond shows 0% chance of rain. The Weather channel is notorious for being, let's just say, not always correct. Let's hope they're right on this one.

The cold doesn't worry me. What would worry me is rain, wind, snow, etc. I'm praying for a calm, non precipitation/windy, day.

I'm fine with cold and rainy, because we got some experience in that weather last week. Let's pray for four quarters like our 4th quarter against State.

I agree weather shouldn't be much of a factor if it's 40 degrees but pleasant. Throw some rain in there though, and it could get pretty ugly. But since we're the underdog, I'm okay with that if it means we are one play away from winning it in the fourth quarter.

Hopefully RR can get the kids to focus on what they control (execution of the plays and the Hawkeyes) and not worry about what is uncontrollable (weather). We want to win every game, all the time. But the experience the kids will take from this game will be huge. These guys will feel what it's like to play in this environment and, in the long run, will be better because of it. If this experience helps kick some Suckeye ass in November, I am all for a blizzard, monsoon, tornado, whatever. O how I hate Ohio State.

I am in Boulder CO and it has been cold and snowing since 8 pm friday night, the radar looks like that storm is moving east into Nebraska and Iowa.
