MNF - Browns and Jets

Jets look brutal and on top of it former Northwestern QB Trevor Siemian goes down with what looks to be a bad injury. Painful to watch the game and that injury

Oddly enough I’ll bet the ratings are huge for this crappy game. New York market plus browns fans/ hype. I live in Ohio and I have neighbors letting their kids miss school to stay up tonight and watch tonight. Long suffering fans on both sides.

Could see the landing with full weight thing, more than the one yesterday

EDIT:  Still very unclear for defenses to interpret rule and what they can do

That rule is absurd. These defensive linemen are trying to run as fast as they can to get to the QB. It’s like Booger asked: “ Are we supposed to levitate?” He’s right. It’s almost impossible for them to just stop. The point is to tackle or at least hit a QB right after the throw. All three “roughing the passer” calls were legit hits, just not in today’s pussified football.

The owners want to protect their investments, hence all the rules over the years to protect the QB.  It's a business decision, I get it.  But let's stop the pretense, put a distinct colored jersey on the QB with "DO NOT TOUCH" emblazoned on it front and back.

The most telling sign of the almost unwatchability of this game is that the Jets have 4 completions and not one of them has gone past the line of scrimmage. Trevor Siemian has been with the Jets during the entire offseason and the most they trust him is to do is throw screens and quick hitters. That is a direct reflection of the horrible coaching, and bad talent acquisition by the GM.

Then, McFarland said that the GM said that Falk lacks good arm strength, but he knows the offense. WTF? And Cleveland is no better at coaching. They are so undisciplined that they've followed up their 18 penalties last week with another 5 in the first half this week.

I am really being hit hard.  Not by this game.  Huge Cars fan, adjusting to loss of Ric Ocasek.  Somehow over the last 24 hours it's affecting me more

Leveon Bell is sure panning out to be a great signing. Good thing he isn't a systematic running back. God made talent.

Before the season, you're thinking "Mayfield/Darnold, breakout year two" and how easy that would be to promote. The reality - the Jets need to do everything possible to prevent Darnold from causing a breakout of his own. And the Browns - if it weren't for the massive futility of pretty much the entire salary cap era, that's a team people want to see right now. I don't think it was a bad choice; just turned out to be a dud.
