LOL I guess I was typing when you posted. Decent start so far. Jones with a foul just now. Same ole, same ole.

Zona apparently just good.  Up 7 on the Illini mid 2nd on the road.

Uhh, they were a little handsy there with Dickenson. That could have been called a foul.

i don't have the stats to back this up but HD seemed to be a better rim protector last year when teammates were beaten off the dribble. it seems more opponents are getting layups this year as HD doesn't appear to attack them as much.

Diabetes won't be shooting any technicals for Michigan.

Wow, this Coach Ben Johnson has to be an early leader for Coach of the Year; I don't think Richard Pitino ever got one of his teams to play as good as this one is right now.

Observations so far:

We had a 13-7 lead and the Jones commits a stupid foul on an and one, lead never reaches 6 again.

Houstan doing absolutely nothing early, again

John's and Williams with less than desirable play too.

Let's hope those guys play better cause we need them, all 4 of them.

I really wish Juwan would play Kobe earlier.

Looking at the stat sheet, the Gophers don't have any turnovers. But, they only have one more foul to give and we're at the charity stripe the rest of the half. We have 4 turnovers (not terrible), but have only committed 2 fouls. 

Crisler is awful quiet tonight 

There have been a few ugly shots by both teams in this game. Diabate is a helluva rim protector, though. Wow!

houstan, wtf? if ya foul him don't let him get the damn shot off. pathetic.

We're not handling success very well, yet, this game. Good play on one end, immediate bad play on the other. 

Minnesota's best play tonight is getting fouled on jump shots.

So is that a foul when the offensive player leans in to purposely draw contact.  Seems like it should be an offensive foul. Defender jumped straight up. 

50/50 balls and calls going Gopher way this half. 

It looks like Brooks has regressed on defense, but only because we no long have Franz to guard the best perimeter player on every team we play. Still, we can’t get letting every guard we play post 20+

Free throws, defense, rebounding and turnovers.  Need better effort on all 4.

I think Houstan is ready to be the solid 3rd scoring option on offense. Dickinson, Brooks, Houstan - draw the plays up for them. 

These Gophers are a pesky bunch.
