I really don't understand what is so bad about the handshake.  Yeah he is jumping around like an excited 6th grader winning the Pee wee league championship.  Whatever, the enthusiasm is excusable.  Sure the handshake and pat on the back were quick, but you can see that Schwartz was going for quick, cursory handshake as well.  He didn't even stop walking.

Did Harbaugh say something offensive?  It looks like he just said, good game buddy and went on his merry way leaping around and celebrating.

I'm not a big pro fan, though I want the Lions to do well.  That said, I found this whole exchange hilarious, especially the reactions of all my friends who are huge Lions fans (and who coincidentally are mostly Spartys) and wanted Harbaugh to get clocked.

I look forward to the day he does this to Dantonio.

meet this weekend.

There are lots of cool restaurants and bars in Detroit and Ann Arbor and a couple more in Ferndale and Traverse City.

There is some excellent trout fishing in the Northern LP and UP if you're willing to hike a little.

This weather is making me look forward to baseball season.

Where were we going with this?

In Traverse, try Frenchies for breakfast or Cook's House for a top-end dinner spot. It's worth a 30 minute drive up the Leelanau Peninsula to Art's Tavern in Glen Arbor or either the Bluebird or Riverside Inn in Leland. Jolly Pumpkin has also moved their main operation up there on Old Mission Peninsula.

North Peak (same outfit as Grizzly Peak) has good pub food and ok beer.  Amical is excellent, but more of a date place.  Union Street Station is and always will be one of my favorite bars.  The Little Fleet Bar hosts lots of food trucks outside and is a good time (with obvious variety).  Red Ginger is a little fancy for a bunch of dude's drinkin', but the food is good.  The Mackinaw Brewing Company is amongst the worst establishments I've ever visited.  Lots more options.  Have fun.

but why are we afraid of talking about it on the board? Nothing is happening with Michigan football at the moment and our arch-rival just won the national title with their 3rd string QB. It's ok to discuss that Urban Meyer is a baller and could probably win the Big Ten with any of the QBs on our roster

Is this a good place to talk about the people who say "Go Big Blue"? I don't see it here, but I have definitely seen it in reference to Michigan in other places. Isn't Big Blue Kentucky or Duke or something? It's definitely not Michigan.

well.....

wasn't thinking i'd find a thread to post this in, but mgoblog never disappoints. we're heading up for a short trip to arcadia this weekend and are looking for cross country skiing areas. anyone know of good places around there? we're not terribly experienced, but have both done it before and are reasonably fit. we'd need to rent equipment.
