This is very, very interesting news when you pair it with this from a few months ago that was spotted at the MSBC

If we switch to Nike, let's hope we get the Oregon treatment (minus the different helmet designs of course)...MORE UNIFORMZ PLEASE!!!

like getting a meijer brand Michigan jersey, Under Armour just doesn't feel as prestigious as Nike or Adidas. Admittedly that's a bad reason, but I have trouble getting past it

Under Armour one bit. I like the classic feel they have with Auburn and Notre Dame, and thought worked with Northwestern well. Plus, I feel their apparel would be a definite upgrade over Adidas.

UA basketball gear is trash, and their football stuff is questionable. The best thing under armor has is the cold gear. Adidas has at least proven itself to be somewhat hip with the NBA.

I agree. I think the visit was because of sincere interest. It's between UA and the swoosh. Michigan had a 90 day exclusive negotiation period which came and went. I think Michigans finished with the stripes. This will be a mini version of the nike ua kevin durant battle last summer.

I have hinted at this a few times and with UA already in the B1G they are competing heavily with Nike. My only prob with UA is with the shoes for all sports.

Oh please happen...I would take Nike...but UA has the best broadline products...golf, training gear, running. I figured Nike all the way but this is really interesting!

While we're at it, which American plantations produced the best cotton? What kind of deals were they offering to clothing makers? Who made the most money? Which were the coolest plantations?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Please don't discuss the, er... "labor" issues, move along, nothing to see there.
