For some reason I can't hit the shortened youtube links from my office. You're doing God's work.
DAMNIT I NEED MORE HARBAUGH
Hell, I was in the mood for the Spring Game on December 29th.
God I wish I was still living in Ann Arbor. Why did I ever leave?
Could this be it?

I never understood the "I moved away from Michigan to **insert location that feels like a sauna year round** and I'd never move back" sentiment.
A) they sound like a massive wuss and crybaby who most likely isn't strong enough physically or emotionally to survive and thrive here and
B) I have lived in those warm places and it sucked. The lack of seasons was depressing.

I love it here, and I never want to leave. Other people don't want to be here. Those people should leave the state and leave the amazing natural resources of this state to people like me who want to live here.

There is a difference between Michigan and Florida.
Way to generalize and make it one or the other.
Plenty of us have found states outside of Michigan with four seasons, better seasons than Michigan actually...same cold/snow...but also a beautiful spring, a nice summer and an amazing fall.
I'm enjoying our high 60s/low 70s degree days...mid-40s a night, right now. Just like I enjoyed having some snow back in January. I'll love it when it's hot as balls and just when I start to complain we'll get a beautiful fall.
I've lived from Michigan to Florida...I like it in the middle, still get seasons. Spring and Fall seem to be the longest, and get a little bit of everything. No threat of snow in April, yet not pouring sweat when I get into my car like I used to do when I lived in Orlando.
Bullshit. Snow sucks. Sure, there are some fun things you can do in the snow. But don't bring up skiing or snowboards because there is very little decent skiing in Michigan and even if you said the Boyne/Nubs type places qualify, I can get to better ski resorts from my house in LA in less time. So that's out.
Shoveling, driving in, walking in and all around dealing with the snow sucks a lot. Even people who love living in Michigan know that this is true. I love Michigan, and I would move back if the circumstances were right, but it would be in spite of the snow, not because of it.
You think the lack of seasons is depressing? You know what else is depressing? When your pants are wet up to the knee from the snow or your tires locking up at the wrong time and ending up in a ditch or smashed into the car in front of you (or worse). Or having your BBQ rained out or needing a completely different wardrobe for different parts of the year. You like swimming? You get to do it 4, maybe 5 months out of the year. When you're looking at dirty, brown snow, I'm looking at palm trees and 75 degrees. Poll the whole freaking world and ask which place is depressing.
Let it be known that I'm not hating on Michigan, I'm only hating on drjaws for insinuating that anyone who decides to move out of the snow does so because they are a wuss or a crybaby. I think you're a crybaby for not living in fucking Greenland, tough guy.
And for the record, California doesn't feel like a sauna year round, in fact most of it never feels like a sauna, it's just pleasant all the time. It gets hot where I live in the summer, but there's no humidity so our hot weeks are no worse than yours. And we have no mosquitos.
I negged ya becqause I do LOVE the snow. I love shovelling. I love going in my back yard and setting up the tip up then playing hockey with the boys all day on a Saturday. I dont mind driving in it I dont mind walking in it. I LOVE snow. Oh and yea California sucks. They couldnt pay me to live there.
I love winter. I love the snow. I love snowmobiles. I plow snow, I don't shovel. I love the cold weather. I love being outdoors in the snow. I love when it melts and the excitement of Spring coming. I have lived in those "warm places" (Cali, NC, Tennessee) and they suck. You couldn't pay me to live there.
And if your pants get wet up to your knees, you're doing it wrong. They have these things now called "boots."
Crybaby.
You're a pain in the ass.
In my opinion, SoCal sucks. Snow is awesome. But to each his own. Glad you enjoy LA. You and Anthony Kiedis should sing a duet or something.

I have lived that life. It sucked. I hated it. You like it. Good for you. You couldn't pay me enough to move to Cali, AZ, Florida etc.

Would love to live there, but have you ever been to San Diego?

You certainly were hating on people who leave Michigan because of the weather. You said we were "wusses" I believe. And in your post above you said I didn't "like to get snow in my vag."
I know CA isn't for everyone. It's perfect for my tastes. There are also a lot of reasons people don't like it, and I'm not going to judge them or call them names (like you have been doing) if they don't appreciate the same things I do or don't want to deal with the negatives. Some people say "I can't stand LA because I hate all the congestion." I get that. To me, the positives outweigh that stuff, just like to you, the positives of Michigan outweigh the inconvenience that snow brings (even if you love doing stuff in it, you can't deny that stuff like wet feet, sweeping/scraping off your car, etc aren't an inconvenience.
The point of my post above was not to debate MI vs CA (or anywhere else). It was simply that leaving one state for another doesn't make you a wuss and what makes someone depressed (for you, lack of seasons) could be seen as a positive for someone else. Have some fucking perspective.

My point was that where you choose to live doesn't make you a crybaby. You seem to imply that if you value warmth at all, you are a crybaby. So why not move to Greenland?
Im with ya Jaws. Michigan is great because I love winter and summer sports and just as I get sick of a season it changes. Also I couldnt give up that first cold sunny October day where you can pull out the hoodie nor that first warm spring day you can pull out the golf clubs. I could not live in a place where "winter" is a 50 degree day with clouds then its right back to 90 and humid.
your point B contradicts your point A? Doesn't being depressed by the lack of distinguishable seasons speak to your emotional strength? Wuss! I dare say the Ann Arbor winter is not worse than the Florida summer.
I'm shocked the BTN actually made that. Quite well done

Can't wait for the Spring Game!

Hackett needs to put the Spring Game on the last possible Saturday.
- Better chance for better weather
- If we're going 4 hour practices - this gives more time for recovery
It also would've been smart this year because you can space the 15 practices out and get more time with the team. More time for rention and learning.
Put the spring game as late as you can. Last week of April or something.

Chills. I need to be there! Any guesses on attendance?
