that Weber is not coming.
January 28th, 2015 at 11:14 AM ^
left with his ass hanging out.
January 28th, 2015 at 12:12 PM ^
Thanks, now I can't get the image of Harbaugh wearing Kakhi's with the ass cut out, out of my head.
January 28th, 2015 at 12:41 PM ^
back end was more palatable.
January 28th, 2015 at 11:21 AM ^
No, because we're recruiting him as a CB. We are looking for 2 CB's so maybe it means that Arnette is not coming...
January 28th, 2015 at 11:24 AM ^
Dude, the tweet says he was "offered by Michigan as a running back".
January 28th, 2015 at 12:06 PM ^
Well, TomVH has clearly said he is being recruited as a CB and he's been right more often than not.
January 28th, 2015 at 12:32 PM ^
Really? Maybe you could include that in your original comment because he just tweeted this...
@mgoblue1414 sorry, he's a CB/RB. Looks like it might be for running back.

Looks like TomVH just updated now, but when I replied TomVH clearly just said "CB". Thanks for pointing out Tom's change.
January 28th, 2015 at 12:42 PM ^
Give this guy some karma back for not being a bitch about it and talking like a rational human being. Good job, guy. Have an upvote.
January 28th, 2015 at 12:13 PM ^
The offer was made by Jim Harbaugh personally last night. Titus prefers to play CB in college. Big time sleeper. Freak athlete

Arnette was just offered by OSU with the impending decommitment of Carlton Davis looming, fwiw.
January 28th, 2015 at 11:44 AM ^
He's had an OV there planned for this weekend.
January 28th, 2015 at 11:51 AM ^
How many friggin spots does OSU have? They already have 25 commits and took 24 and 24 the last 2 years (or 24 and 23 - still a ton). Seems pretty "impressive" when you can take 74-75 players over a 3 year cycle. When there are only 85 spots.
January 28th, 2015 at 12:10 PM ^
Hey, they announcers on TV said it repeatedly, Urban is building an SEC team in the B1G, lol. I don't think they meant the whole oversigning bidness, though.
January 28th, 2015 at 12:17 PM ^
Thanks for the correction, Miggle. As far as the numbers working out, they are currently at 65 (77 right now, lost 9 seniors, two graduating linemen with one year left leaving, Spence gone). There have been rumors of Dunn looking around (I would not be surprised if he or Ball leaves, both leaving would be a surprise, however). Devin Bogard tore his ACL for the third time this year so there is the possibility of him hanging up the cleats. If 2 of those 3 leave, that brings you to 62 with 23 spots open. Right now, they have 25 commits but it is possible that LS Liam McCullogh gets a grey shirt and it appears Carlton Davis is going to Auburn. They are still pursuing Arnette, Porter Gustin and Isaiah Prince, however, so it appears that the staff is assuming they will lose 2-3 more guys to attrition.
January 28th, 2015 at 1:30 PM ^
Everytime I see a new commitment, or lean to Ohio State being mentioned. There are still 5 or 6 guys they are suppossed to get.
January 28th, 2015 at 1:59 PM ^
has it's advantages
January 28th, 2015 at 2:29 PM ^
Went to upvote, managed to hit the red arrow. My apologies. These mice are slippery.
January 28th, 2015 at 2:34 PM ^
You can change a vote. Just hit up and it'll turn a neg into a pos.
January 28th, 2015 at 11:27 AM ^
Tweet says RB.
January 28th, 2015 at 11:44 AM ^
cant you read?

Well TomVH has been clear that he is being recruiting for the CB position so I choose to believe Tom. So quit negging me. Thanks.
January 28th, 2015 at 11:42 AM ^
transferring.
January 28th, 2015 at 11:13 AM ^
well, this is confirmation that there isn't a behind the scenes silent commit from weber
January 28th, 2015 at 11:13 AM ^
Yep...looks like the Weber ship has sunk....we all knew it was sinking, but this offer might make it official.
January 28th, 2015 at 11:28 AM ^
Need to learn to read better
January 28th, 2015 at 11:37 AM ^
your choice of terms as "sunk " instead as sailed considering the school he's currently committed to.
January 28th, 2015 at 11:39 AM ^
Dammit!
January 28th, 2015 at 11:13 AM ^
A little short on underclass RBs.
January 28th, 2015 at 11:25 AM ^
I have a kind of different perspective on RB depth. RB is the one position where I really don't care about a kid's experience. If not taking an RB in 2015 makes Michigan extremely appealing to a great crop of possible 2016 RB prospects (and having one more place for an RB), then I'd be fine taking a couple in the next class and passing on RBs in 2015.
That would leave us with Green, Smith, Isaac, and Johnson in 2015, the same guys and a couple of true freshmen RBs in 2016, and Isaac, the 2016 RB class, and the 2017 RB class in 2017. That seems fine to me. We'll be relying heavily on youth if Isaac gets hurt or flops, but if you're going to rely on youth anywhere, it's at RB.
Then again, if they find an RB they really like - Booker or another guy - it's obviously a good move to take him.
January 28th, 2015 at 12:14 PM ^
RB really is one of the positions we'd need to worry about the least. It's pretty easy for freshmen to play and have an immediate impact because it's not a position that really develops at the college level, you either have it, or you don't.
January 28th, 2015 at 11:16 AM ^
Has Michigan ever offered a player from the Fox Valley Conference in football before this? Probably need to add a non-Cary Grove caveat but I'm curious if anyone knows or knows how to find the answer.
January 28th, 2015 at 11:24 AM ^
We've sent a player or two to the D-1 ranks over the past decade, but definitely not from Grayslake. When I was in high school, the only time they didn't get blown out was when they played the other Grayslake school.
January 28th, 2015 at 11:38 AM ^
Looking at some old schedules, we managed to get blown out by Grayslake Central my sophomore year (and went 0-3 against you guys while I was in there).
We had a RB in my class go 1-AA but I don't think he even had preferred walkon interest from any of the Big Ten schools.
January 28th, 2015 at 4:19 PM ^
but remember that the old Fox Valley also had Lake Zurich in it. I'm a recent FVC grad, and I bet Michigan wouldve offered a friend of mine from Cary Grove if he hadnt been considered a Notre Dame lock. I know Sparty, Iowa, and UW offered him. A teammate of mine was being recruited by Michigan for awhile until he went to the MAC. It's got some great talent, but not very good exposure. Almost every team my senior season had a Division 1 player except for Woodstock.
January 28th, 2015 at 4:39 PM ^
I wasn't around for Lake Zurich in the conference, and Woodstock...yeah I can definitely believe that.
As an HDJ grad (2008) I was just happy to see a winning record this past season when I was looking around earlier today.

Prying a RB from Wisconsin given their history with RBs? Good luck Harbs.
January 28th, 2015 at 11:18 AM ^
Geez Wisky has 4 RB commits. Seems like it wouldn't be too hard to get one of them.
January 28th, 2015 at 11:18 AM ^
FWIW, it appears as though he is committed to Wisconsin as a CB.
January 28th, 2015 at 11:16 AM ^
I thought we're looking at him as a CB.
January 28th, 2015 at 11:33 AM ^
Tweet literally says "running back"
January 28th, 2015 at 11:48 AM ^
a correct use of the word "literally"

January 28th, 2015 at 12:07 PM ^
I want to say this now
January 28th, 2015 at 12:10 PM ^
with our recruiting. As has been said often it is hard to start so late and put something together, but we are taking shots all over the place. It is really hard to predict how this will turn out but it is looking like the class will not fill up. I am definitely okay with banking some scholarships
January 28th, 2015 at 12:55 PM ^
I literally just spit my coffee on my work computer.
