We are on the same page , i just posted on the BI thread how MSU's lead appears to be slipping.
I think MSU's fanbase would have a meltdown if we got Etta. They've been so convinced he's been a lock because of Brandon Jordan and they basically harass this kid nonstop on Twitter
something, something, do not something, something, reach out and something, something, tweet to something, something, potential recruits something, something,
Cool I really like this kid and really hope he comes through. Also it would be nice to get one over Sparty (who thought previously he was all theirs).
I understand QBs and wide receivers being hesitant to come to Michigan. Objectively we haven't produced a lot of high end NFL draft talent in those positions. But under Harbaugh Michigan has killed it and been elite with defensive ends. Top 2 or 3 school without a doubt. You would think edge players would be lining up to play here given the track record.
The only school that can compete with Michigan on EDGE guys getting drafted and playing in the league in the Harbaugh Era is that school down south. Not even Bama gets close
If a mod wants to update the thread title to get his first name right, that would be appreciated
Will do immediately!
24th ranked Texas player and 139 overall. That blows my mind. Imagine having that talent pool to pull from if you're a Texas school. Man! I wonder where the 24th ranked state of Michigan recruit ranks overall. 🤔. Not even gonna look.
Then imagine sucking for 2 decades. Now you're Texas!
Keep in mind, there are five legit football programs to support in Texas (UT, T A&M, Baylor, Tech, TCU), where as Michigan only has one.
I'd hate to say this, but if Baylor, Tech and TCU are legit, so is Sparty. What's amazing is how UT has stunk for the past decade despite all the advantages they have over the other four schools.
It was a joke
I know you're poking fun at the rivals with that, but Michigan has two legit football programs fighting over 1/3 of the population that Texas has.
To match Texas' population (28.6M), you need to rope together Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana (28.4M) There are 6 Power 5 schools in that footprint,(Michigan, MSU, OSU, Notre Dame, Purdue, Indiana), where the 25th best player in that footprint is the 432nd rated player in the country.
What's funny is that 5 schools (including Cincinnati) in our footprint have made the CoFoPoff while Texas schools have put up a big fat goose egg.
I know it's a "breakfast food," but i honestly love a bowl of CoFoPoffs late at night.
But are you cuckoo for them?
Damnit, now I'm going cuckoo for a bowl and all I have is Cocoa Krispies!
Seems unclear whether he's received offers from Texas and TAMU. I hope he's not holding out for them.
Also, imagine those fuckers in Columbus getting some of the best players there while the big programs in the state (looking at you, Texas) were busy playing with themselves.

I'll take both as amazing consolation prizes in the qb sweepstakes!
Thanks! I'm on a plane headed to Boston to see the Celtics tonight!!
This can't be true. I'm almost positive I read somewhere that MSU is crushing it on the recruiting trail and Michigan was in a downward spiral of mediocrity.
Wait for the Goblin!!!
Michigan is going to be fine when all is said and done.
To be fair to MSU, relative to their past recruiting (this is key part), they are doing quite well. Seven commits w/ four being composite four stars. Also likely will be adding another composite four star today or tomorrow (Demetrius Bell). No huge fish yet, but a lot of big prospects taking OV's at MSU...and many big prospects OV'ing at UM as well.
Well, Bell just committed. Good looking WR w/ offers from LSU, UM, TN, PSU, etc.
It will be interesting to see if MSU can build on last year. They had a shiny record, but were exceedingly lucky in many of their games (including the ref-show/review-shenanigans in our game) and the guy that was their whole offense is gone.
Tucker is a blowhard, but recruits seem to eat it up. If he can have another good season, the recruiting might hold on long enough for the performance to catch up to the bluster. If they have a down year, however, then they might not hold onto their recruits and the new coach smell won't save him. It will also be interesting to see how he handles the pressure of being the $95M man if some losses start piling up.
Elston just punked MSU, who had all of the crystal balls at 247, including WINGDINGS crystal ball.
On Twitter they were celebrating their #14 ranked recruiting class in early June
It’s always strange when a profile says a guy has a good set of national offers but no in state offers from the larger programs.
Etta is a high academic kid who hasn't lived in Texas for long. I would say this phenomenon is much more common in Texas and Florida where the in-state schools can pick and choose than in Michigan
What does this mean by his Michigan interest?
DL DRAFTED (5YR) 2
We had 2 in the first two rounds last year alone. Where do they get that number?
I believe they count Edge separately, so DL for them would be non-edge DL
Rico was saying he was an msu lock
