Cool I really like this kid and really hope he comes through. Also it would be nice to get one over Sparty (who thought previously he was all theirs).

I understand QBs and wide receivers being hesitant to come to Michigan. Objectively we haven't produced a lot of high end NFL draft talent in those positions. But under Harbaugh Michigan has killed it and been elite with defensive ends. Top 2 or 3 school without a doubt. You would think edge players would be lining up to play here given the track record.

24th ranked Texas player and 139 overall.  That blows my mind.  Imagine having that talent pool to pull from if you're a Texas school.  Man!  I wonder where the 24th ranked state of Michigan recruit ranks overall. 🤔. Not even gonna look.

I know you're poking fun at the rivals with that, but Michigan has two legit football programs fighting over 1/3 of the population that Texas has.

To match Texas' population (28.6M), you need to rope together Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana (28.4M) There are 6 Power 5 schools in that footprint,(Michigan, MSU, OSU, Notre Dame, Purdue, Indiana), where the 25th best player in that footprint is the 432nd rated player in the country.

What's funny is that 5 schools (including Cincinnati) in our footprint have made the CoFoPoff while Texas schools have put up a big fat goose egg.

I'll take both as amazing consolation prizes in the qb sweepstakes!

This can't be true. I'm almost positive I read somewhere that MSU is crushing it on the recruiting trail and Michigan was in a downward spiral of mediocrity.

Michigan is going to be fine when all is said and done.

To be fair to MSU, relative to their past recruiting (this is key part), they are doing quite well.  Seven commits w/ four being composite four stars.  Also likely will be adding another composite four star today or tomorrow (Demetrius Bell).  No huge fish yet, but a lot of big prospects taking OV's at MSU...and many big prospects OV'ing at UM as well.

It will be interesting to see if MSU can build on last year.  They had a shiny record, but were exceedingly lucky in many of their games (including the ref-show/review-shenanigans in our game) and the guy that was their whole offense is gone.

Tucker is a blowhard, but recruits seem to eat it up.  If he can have another good season, the recruiting might hold on long enough for the performance to catch up to the bluster.  If they have a down year, however, then they might not hold onto their recruits and the new coach smell won't save him.  It will also be interesting to see how he handles the pressure of being the $95M man if some losses start piling up.

What does this mean by his Michigan interest?

DL DRAFTED (5YR) 2

We had 2 in the first two rounds last year alone. Where do they get that number?
