Michigan full at db. Garner and Walker not visiting.

Submitted by no joke its hoke on

Im not sure how to link but on Sarah Hughes twitter page she said Walker and Garner have been told they are full at db,but Fuller(Garner's teammate)  will still visit this weekend. Take it for what it's worth but Sarah usually spot on with the these things.

What is the exact definition of "silent commit"? Are we saying that they verballed to the coaches, but they just don't want to make the announcement yet? Seems like that would be more of an "unnanounced commit", but I am probably just being nitpicky . . .

If we pull in Cravens or Fuller, we're gonna be pretty loaded in the secondary considering our classes the last couple years.  Depth is nice!

Seems to make sense... two highly rated corners and one elite safety already committed, and we have a shot at 3 very highly touted / best-available guys in the secondary (Cravens, Hargreaves, and Fuller). With our decent depth in the secondary (gasp!) this seems to make sense on its face. Goes to show you can't sit on a Michigan offer for very long any more, because someone will take the spot if you don't...

Am I the only one a little bothered by the "Don't visit, we're full" additude (provided that is, exactly what they are saying).  Considering how fluid recruiting is and how unpredictable roster management can be in college, wouldn't it be smart to let them visit anyway, and just say "Right now, we're full at your position, but things can always change throughout the year.  You are welcome to visit, but just know that right now we would not be able to accept a committment if you chose.  Pehaps in the future but not right now."  The only advantage of not visiting at all is that you can focus on other recruits and get an early start on the 2014 guys.  Our early start on the 2013 class really helped us for this class.

I haven't seen the twitter action to know if the coaches told them not to visit, but generally speaking, did it not occur to you that the recruits might be cancelling the visits? If you were a recruit, wouldn't you reconsider using your family's resources to visit a school if they told you they were full?

I'm sure that no one is a silen committ. I'm sure they just dont' want another DB in this class. Their are obvious exceptions for elite talent(cravens, fuller, etc), but other than that they would rather use the scholarships in other areas.

Why hello there!

First, I'd like to say thanks to all those people who backed my credibility, that is much appreciated. Second, I don't appreciate being called a creeper for doing what anyone in my position does :)

Thanks guys! If you have questions, feel free to ask me...

And no, I don't have a crush on Shane Morris, I am a worried woman... ;)

Not too surprising if true, we have 16 and seemingly will (expect? Hope?) add at least 2 DLs, 2 LBs, a WR and a RB. That's 22 and we could be full. but even if we're not we could take another DL, another WR, a TE or even an OT.

She's working hard...for free...give her some credit.

If any of you want to question her than why don't you post your credentials. I dare you to try to match sources and degrees.

Dude was supposed to be close on March 5th and I have not heard a peep about him since. We need to get this guy soon, or go get O Daniel

Gedeon committed already.  That's what's up with him.  I remember when someone said he was a silent commit... I remember when the coaching staff told others at the LB position that they were full and not to visit, with only 1 LB officially committed.  I trust the coaches with their methods.  Seems to have worked so far.
