Clearly using your other accounts to upvote yourself. I wonder who you might be? Never seen someone do that before around here.

I don't follow the MGoBlog conspiracy theories that closley so don't know who we think he is, but I +1ed for keeping the "huh?" trend going.

I hate all of you new accounts. All of you. This is insane.
Somebody, please do something. Please.

We're at a point here where MGoBlog needs a vigorous daily colonic administered by the mods. Ruthlessness is necessary.

If I had enough time in the day to create fake accounts, I would be doing something else with that time. I'm not saying I would be more productive, just different.

Welp, this is a troll account doing work this morning. Cave and carry on.

Grant Newsome RETURNS Posbang!!!
God, that is welcome news. No matter what capacity he comes back in, just to have him back is great.

December 11th, 2017 at 3:01 PM ^
Actually, he hopes to return by summer camp.
December 11th, 2017 at 11:53 AM ^
This would be amazing.
Just the other day I realized I had been thinking all along "I can't wait until Grant Newsome is back!" and not enough of "I sure hope Grant Newsome will one day be able to be back..."
Definite game changer. Who knows what will happen in the end re. football, but, either way, a Michigan Man through and through.
December 11th, 2017 at 11:56 AM ^
He's been through a lot with his leg and probably has a ways to go still to be game ready. Hopefully he can return but man he's gonna be an inspiration for a lot of kids who have all sorts of illnesses and issues to show that they too can recover, regardless of if he plays football again or not.
December 11th, 2017 at 12:01 PM ^
he said he hopes to return "as soon as possible". Which I assume means he still isn't medically cleared. Some comments seem to allude to the fact that he is back and ready to go, which at this point, doesn't seem to be true. I, like many of you, want Newsome back in the worst way. Just want to make sure that people aren't getting ahead of themselves.
December 11th, 2017 at 12:42 PM ^
That is the worst idea I've ever heard in my life, Tom.
December 11th, 2017 at 3:12 PM ^
Yes, it is horrible... this idea.
December 11th, 2017 at 4:43 PM ^
...according to my wife this is not uncommon, but I thought Grant's desire to return to the team had been expressed many moons ago? If so then I don't understand the point of this post.
December 11th, 2017 at 12:01 PM ^
Hate to be the Debbie Downer, but the first paraph reads:
"Michigan left tackle Grant Newsome still holds the goal of being medically cleared to return to football by the start of the 2018 season"
If he isn't available by spring practices you have to wonder how ready he'll be for the season after being out so long. I hope I'm wrong and very happy to see that he is still improving, but the pessimist in me can't see how he'll possibly be ready and playing at his pre-injury level.
December 11th, 2017 at 12:04 PM ^
Yeah I read this article and concluded it's really against the odds that he'll be back.
He's still doing great things though, which is why you come to Michigan in the first place - check him out on twitter, he's a good follow.

Succinct analysis EYB.
December 11th, 2017 at 12:07 PM ^
I disagree. Newsome won an award, there's value in communicating that through the article. And he's still staying positive himself, which isn't new but it's a restatment of what we've heard before.
And there's always a chance someone comes along with a little inside info.
December 12th, 2017 at 6:22 AM ^
I am in step with you on this one.
Moreover, I am always a little uncomfortable when the readers tell me what is newsworthy and what is not.
December 11th, 2017 at 12:11 PM ^
I cannot remember rooting for a Michigan player as much as I'm rooting for Newsome to return. The positive attitude he's maintained is, in and of itself, amazing.
December 11th, 2017 at 12:12 PM ^
Grant Newsome is awesome and inspirational. Anyone counting on him to be part of the line next year is deluding themselves. This is a lot like Austin Hatch getting himself back into playing basketball, an incredible story of triumph, but there just wasn't a chance he would ever get 100% back to the player he was. Newsome will succeed at whatever he does, it just likely won't be suiting up as Michigan LT against ND in 2018 and there is nothing wrong with that.

Unfortunately for him and for us, this sounds like a reasonable take.

That would be one great story and a lift for this football team. Hoping it happens.
GO BLUE!!

Damn, didn't realize it's been nearly 4 months since Harbaugh posted video of Newsome running again. All the best to Grant!

I like to read his posts with the actual Simpsons lawyer voice and then it's even more irritating.
December 11th, 2017 at 4:54 PM ^
I'm trying to parse this to see if there is any new information.
About all I can surmise is that Newsome hasn't definitively been told he will never play again (hopes to be back), but also that he hasn't been medically cleared to practice with the team.
I suppose know that "there's a chance" is better than nothing. Still, not a lot to see here.
December 12th, 2017 at 8:21 AM ^
Here's hoping for the best for you, good sir.
