Just w the game
October 3rd, 2021 at 9:38 AM ^
On the road, UTL, sounds like good odds. Key is controlling Martinez. Should be a heck of a game. Go Blue!
October 3rd, 2021 at 11:27 AM ^
Isn't Martinez like 40 now? (Looked it up. Taylor Martinez 2011-2013). Adrien Martinez is another Martinez.
October 3rd, 2021 at 11:30 AM ^
Don't feel bad. I had the same issue. This one appears to be better. But they seem to play so similarly. Sounds like frost is cheating.
October 3rd, 2021 at 12:20 PM ^
That's not what his MOM said...
October 3rd, 2021 at 1:17 PM ^
I thought the same thing. They have a pipeline to Martinez
October 3rd, 2021 at 9:40 AM ^
Opened at 4.5, now at 5.
October 3rd, 2021 at 12:32 PM ^
Probably go higher.
October 3rd, 2021 at 9:43 AM ^
It’d take a Rutgers performance to make this anything less than a two-score game.
October 3rd, 2021 at 10:10 AM ^
Nebraska should’ve beaten MSU and had every opportunity to beat Oklahoma. Both of those games were on the road. Nebraska has some players on offense and they can move the ball. Their defense is far less than what we saw against Wisconsin but it’s offense is far better.
Michigan is going to have its hands full on Saturday night, especially if Nebraska finds a way to not shoot itself in the foot over and over and give the game away like it’s been known to do.
October 3rd, 2021 at 10:19 AM ^
Ummm - for 4 years I have heard this argument about Nebraska. Let me tell you - they are losers and a bad team. 3-3 w losses against a poor Illinois squad, Sparty, and an overrated Okla team that allows everyone to play close. Only wins v "powerhouses" Fordham and Buffalo, and a terrible Northwestern team. Nebraska and Scott Frost suck donkey balls.
Don't get me wrong - any win in Lincoln a good thing. But this Michigan team will be ready, and is going to pound the living shit out of the pathetic Cornhuskers!
Go Blue!!!
October 3rd, 2021 at 11:03 AM ^
C'mon Damone...don't sugarcoat it. If you have something to say, say it. Don't beat around the bush

October 3rd, 2021 at 11:51 AM ^
I’m just saying that I don’t expect them to just roll over and be a doormat for Michigan like they were in 2018. That’s going to be a desperate team and a desperate coach trying to save his job so he’ll be pulling out all the stops that night to prove to his new AD that he deserves to be kept around.
Doesn’t mean they’re not a bad team. Recent evidence suggests that they are. But bad teams have beaten good teams before plenty of times. Especially when said bad team is playing at home with little or nothing to lose.
Michigan should win, and handily at that. But as they say, that’s why they play the game.
October 3rd, 2021 at 12:13 PM ^
Damone is correct here. A desperate Nebraska team gets beat up by bullies located in Ann Arbor.
October 3rd, 2021 at 1:12 PM ^
I always say "you just don't know Damone."
October 3rd, 2021 at 10:20 AM ^
you meant "It'll", right?
October 3rd, 2021 at 11:10 AM ^
No, I think the subjunctive is better here.
October 3rd, 2021 at 11:30 AM ^
Actually, either would work.
October 3rd, 2021 at 9:53 AM ^
Sounds right. Nebraska is better than their record and are due for an upset, so a night game at home should be tough. But I also don't think their defense is quite there yet and the offense can be squirrelly. Will have to be up again for this game.
October 3rd, 2021 at 9:56 AM ^
5-0 is so much fun. I will revel in it for a while. It is nice as a fan to not have to prepare or worry about the next game. Saturday will be another opportunity to watch this outstanding team.
October 3rd, 2021 at 10:11 AM ^
It's going to be tough. Nebraska won't gift wrap the game to us like they did to Sparty.
October 3rd, 2021 at 10:20 AM ^
Difficulty - Scott Frost, comedian and masturbator, enjoys punching himself in the balls during important games.
I think we win this one, and it won't be that close.
October 3rd, 2021 at 10:24 AM ^
Well played, Hatter. This post should have ended the thread. +1.
October 3rd, 2021 at 2:24 PM ^
Michigan is going to have a big piece of Cornhusker cake with extra Frosting on top. GO BLUE!
October 3rd, 2021 at 10:14 AM ^
Thinking about it last night, my first guess was gonna be UM -4.
On gameday, UM lines typically move a bit towards UM than the other team, because Vegas typically has more UM fans in Vegas than the team UM is playing.
Dont be surprised if the line is UM -6 on gameday. However, that UM -5 feels just about right to me. On gameday, I think it will more likely be UM -5, than UM -6.
If Neb hadn't humiliated NW last night, the opening would have been UM -7.

This UM team is legit. This Nebraska team is improving and will put all their emotional chips into this game.
This gameplan will rely on discipline. Michigan is coming off a huge game / win.
This is going to be a psychological test for this coaching staff. I believe in this UM team but this game will further show the mettle of this team.
you win here and you get a bye to regroup before you smash northwestern. None of us are suiting up Saturday so we can think what we want but don’t underestimate this game.
October 3rd, 2021 at 10:55 AM ^
Why do you think this team is legit? Just curious
October 3rd, 2021 at 11:07 AM ^
back to the basement!
October 3rd, 2021 at 11:21 AM ^
It starts with the definition of “legit”. I’m not using “likely to go 12-0 and win a NC”. Not saying you are…but that is many folks definition.
I believe this team is legit because they have the talent, ability, and it seems the mentality to challenge and seriously contend for a big ten title.
I also believe that because every team outside of AL and GA have MAJOR issues. Not small. Don’t get me wrong UM has issues too but between the improvements and landscape of college football this team has a legitimate shot to contend.
October 3rd, 2021 at 12:58 PM ^
This is where the NFL experience on the defensive staff will help out. Most every game in the NFL is important, and teams have to get psychologically "up" each week. Our NFL-experienced coaches should be able to get them there.
That said, we will probably have trouble containing Martinez fully, and the NEB offense will get theirs. We will have to score. Fortunately, we have shown we're more willing to do that this year. Come in with a similar mentality to the Wisconsin game and we'll be fine.
October 3rd, 2021 at 10:22 AM ^
We’re gonna make the Huskers feel like they ran through a cornfield backwards!
October 3rd, 2021 at 7:58 PM ^
While naked???
October 4th, 2021 at 7:31 AM ^
Clothing is optional.?
October 3rd, 2021 at 10:31 AM ^
This game could be close as Nebraska is improving. Michigan will remain focused, no problem there. A lot of points could be scored but Michigan's defense travels and if they can hold Nebraska to under 20 points, they win by a bigger margin. I'll go with a Michigan win by more than 5.
October 3rd, 2021 at 10:42 AM ^
Nebraska’s 56 - 7 win last night and close loss to MSU in OT is good for Michigan. It will reduce any letdown/complacency after the big Wisconsin win. Nebraska’s offense is dangerous enough to cause problems and keep the game close. And their defense is improving.: 7 points to NW, 23 to Sparty in OT, and holding Oklahoma down shows that they can play.
M 34 N 27.
October 3rd, 2021 at 10:44 AM ^
Early prediction: Michigan 34, Nebraska 27. Close to the opening UM -5 line (dont be surprised if on gameday, the line is UM -6.)
#GoBlue
October 3rd, 2021 at 11:25 AM ^
Do you really think that Nebraska scores 27 on Michigan? I suppose it could happen....but nobody has scored more than 17 on them yet.
I realize that Nebraska has the ability to have be explosive....but they also have the ability to implode. I think that Michigan holds them under 20.
October 3rd, 2021 at 11:49 AM ^
Nebraska’s O Line looked like trash against MSU. Only one data pint from my POV but agree gonna be hard to score 20+ with defenders in the backfield all day
October 3rd, 2021 at 1:08 PM ^
Probably more like 24-14. Neb's strength is its defense, but they aren't a brick wall against the run like Wisconsin is.
October 3rd, 2021 at 10:55 AM ^
More importantly, what is the Vegas line on outhitting?
October 3rd, 2021 at 10:58 AM ^
They are going to smoke Scott Frost I am unconcerned.
October 3rd, 2021 at 11:04 AM ^
Michigan needs to do those crossing routes with Wilson and Henning and Sainristil a la Ohio State.
October 3rd, 2021 at 11:12 AM ^
Another opportunity for Scott Frost to save his job. Hopefully, the boys put together a performance like yesterday and beat the tar out of them and Scott can start working on his resume'
October 3rd, 2021 at 11:12 AM ^
I would take Michigan to win by at least 2 touchdowns next week.
October 3rd, 2021 at 11:40 AM ^
This will be a mental toughness test more than anything. If we go up a couple scores early, Frost and Martinez will both crumble, but let Nebraska hang around at your peril. If the game is close in the 4th quarter, the Children of the Corn factor increases exponentially.
I hope we pull this out and am thinking along the lines of 35-21. But I would not be shocked by any result. The one ace up our sleeve is special teams. Ours are good. Theirs are not.
October 3rd, 2021 at 12:10 PM ^
I agree that they are capable of giving us a game, but if it is close, we have the Frost Factor on our side. Ol' Frosty is 5-15 in one-score games at Nebraska.
October 3rd, 2021 at 11:55 AM ^
If Michigan doesn't look ahead and remains multiple on offense, this should be a comfortable win...
Hoping they stay focused.
October 3rd, 2021 at 12:15 PM ^
Fortunately, we have a bye the next week, and then Northwestern, so that shouldn't be an issue.
Night road games still make me wary though. I'm glad Cade has the experience from Rutgers last year.

I’m heading to Nebraska on Friday as well.
Went to the last game Michigan played there. Hoping for a much better result this time.
