Michigan Bar in East Lansing?

Submitted by GWUWolverineFan on
I am coaching in a regional high school tournament today, and had to give up my Michigan tickets. I'd still like to catch the game in East Lansing. Any place away from the brahs so I don't have to be all like "come at me"

Sorry man, nothing is there. Probably your best bet is to hit up a place with a lot of TVs so that the Michigan game is actually played on at least one of them. There is a BDubs, but I'd go to Lou and Harry's instead(it's not on campus). The bars all suck compared to AA, so get out as soon as you can. Represent the M well in sparty territory. Hope this helps.

Try Jimmy's on Chandler.  Not a Michigan bar at all, but it is less likely to be packed with undergrads and they may turn the game on one of the tvs for you.  Otherwise Lou and Harry's is just a little further down the road and they have a ton of tvs.

Could you imagine somebody asking the bartender at Scorekeepers, Charlies, the Jug, or the Arena to change one of the TVs from the Michigan game to the Michigan State game?

I would suggest getting out of East Lansing. Maybe head into okemos or another surrounding area and seeing if there is a bar there. With that said, a place like bdubs would probably have the michigan game on, there just will not be ANY michigan people there.

There are a couple of bars in Lansing (I forget the name, but one near the minor league stadium downtown) that might be a decent shot.  Again, not sure if there are any UM bars, but the farther from EL the more likely you are to find a place that won't be full of undergrads.

with M and State both playing at noon you probably aren't going to have any luck in EL. You might try Champs on Lake Lansing road in Lansing, very close to EL but its a big place I am sure they will have both on.

If you want to go east of campus I would recommend Old Chicago. It has a nice bar set up and shouldn't be too crowded. West of campus, The Nut House is probably your best bet. Both are only a few minutes from EL.
