Two B1G teams with three losses are ahead of us? Shenanigans, I say. I (sorta) get MSU since they beat us, but Wiscy too? I mean, USC lost to Stanford and there they are, slightly worse record but one slot higher. Humans suck...

I see what you did there...

w000000t!
This is where Michigan likely starts next season as well.
January 10th, 2012 at 2:10 AM ^
Start the season. You can count on it.
January 10th, 2012 at 10:59 AM ^
That worked well last time.
January 10th, 2012 at 1:41 AM ^
lol Wisconsin only dropped a spot in the AP...
January 10th, 2012 at 1:46 AM ^
They lost to the #4 team by a touchdown on a neutral field, and almost had a chance for a 20 yard touchdown toss before time expired on them, I think that's pretty fair. Not to mention their other two losses came on two hail mary's. I don't have a problem with that at all.

... you mean 75%-25% PAC 12.

Wisconsin fans were in the majority. They are the best-traveling fanbase in the conference, especially to Pasadena. There was a ton of red in the stands there.

Gonna make for a good spin up for the game against Bama next year.

ranked 11th? Wait a minute which one is the real one?
January 10th, 2012 at 2:21 AM ^
USA Today/Coaches poll is the one that matters. The AP poll doesnt factor in the BCS standings.
January 10th, 2012 at 3:08 AM ^
There are no post bowl game BCS standings.
January 10th, 2012 at 7:06 AM ^
Also, the AP awards their own title - and has since 1936 or so. The BCS is younger than most of us on this board.

None of them actually matter now that the season's over.

a top ten finish can only help!
What a season!
Thanks Team 132
GO BLUE!!!!

According to ESPN we are ranked 12th in the USA today poll not 9th!
January 10th, 2012 at 2:46 AM ^
......not sure if serious...... LSU also has all of the #1 votes. It's obviously not updated through this week despite the "Final Rankings" tab.
January 10th, 2012 at 2:48 AM ^
Good catch....its late at night my bad
January 10th, 2012 at 6:43 AM ^
Nope, it's all just one giant protest
January 10th, 2012 at 5:41 AM ^
"9. Michigan
10. Michigan State"
Thank you, Coaches' Poll.

That ranking is going to piss off the die hard Sparty in my grad program. I can't wait for the schadenfreude.

to the coaches and players of Team 132. Congrats to all the fans who stuck with us. We never gave up regardless of our feelings about RR, BD or BH. We deservse a collective pat on the back. We were voted the best team in the Big 10. Can anyone see if sparty had burnt down east lansing?
WE ARE COLLEGE FOOTBALL
WE ARE BACK.

I'm sure State fans will have no problem with us ahead of them in the coaches' poll.
None at all.
No one will complain...

Nice. Top team in the Big Ten.
January 10th, 2012 at 8:16 AM ^
Also, I will always hate the Coach's poll because of 1997. "victors51" is hopefully too young to remeber 1997. Also, don't care about Sparky.

I like this poll. It also gives us a retort to Sparty when they cite their "streak" and the AP poll. I really wish Michigan had played Sparty later in the year.
This year, Michigan "stopped the bleeding" in the OSU rivalry. Next season, it is time to stop the instate bleeding.
Four years of Spartybragging is four too many.
January 10th, 2012 at 1:37 PM ^
Voters just looked at numbers of wins/losses, and didn't really evaluate the strength of these teams. As always. So it's nice that we got to eleven wins.
Any number of lower-ranked teams would have beaten us this year, as MSU did.
January 10th, 2012 at 3:08 PM ^
Wisconsin lost on one hail mary. The other pass was just a long pass from Miller.
