****Sorry for the post hijack****

I'm taking the wife and kids to the game this weekend and need some advice from those who have been to Evanston. We are staying in downtown Chicago, does it make more sense to drive to the game or take the train? If we drive will it be a nightmare getting back downtown after the game?

Sorry again UMProud for the hijack

You could take the CTA (subway/elevated trains), but you can also check out the Metra Rail which has a stop very near the stadium on Central.  The CTA will require a change at Howard.  Which is more convenient will depend on where your downtown hotel is.  Both will be crowded going back but nothing like a Big House.

Parking, on the other hand, would be a nightmare.  The Northwestern stadium is more or less in an old residential neighborhood; the streets are not built for stadium traffic, so I don't advise it.
