META: why no numbered posts?
Why were post numbers eliminated? I found them helpful for navigating through long threads. I can't figure out what the rationale for eliminating them was.

I verified this with Brian last night. It is on his list of things to fix ASAP.

I'd like to see the numbers return, along with the helpful "[x] new replies" note at the top of the page. Those were two very useful features.

The anchor tags still exist in the HTML, but the links aren't there. Anyone who knows HTML can view source and look them up to use them.

I hope bringing back join date under mgohandles is on the fix list as well. Doesn't take much space, and it's just nice to see how long someone's been around.

Not quite. As someone else pointed out, it was a quick way to check someone's credibility. Lots of points is another place to look for that, but I think join date is a better indicator.

It was a quick check on their (supposed) reliability. Not perfect, but it helped.

How the top of the page would tell you how many new replies were in a thread. Ahh the MGoBlog of yesteryear...
