First and foremost- fuck OSU and their fans. Majority of these idiots didn’t even go to osu. And I know it’s so hard to get in. No it isn’t
Osu is the better team. They aren’t a high-integrity program and are win at all costs. They do win. That being said, We can pound our chests on being clean and what not, but haven’t won a big ten since 2003 or 2004 or whatever. That sucks. I’d still rather be in this position w an institution with a lot to offer outside of sports and a lot to offer w sports. Osu bas football and that’s it. Let them have it for now until we get better. These people have nothing else. They’re a better football team this year. We are better than them at everything else. Every year.

I root for UM football because the school is top tier and stands for integrity, competition and leadership. Sure, it’s also my alma mater - but as a fan I emphatically want the football team to reflect Leaders & Best with elite play. UM must get better.
However, I don’t think the UM football program will ever again consistently match the university’s overall status (especially in this era of 5-6 elite programs based primarily on murky recruiting). We are simply in the 2nd wave until we recruit like the elites. On the other hand, OSU has reached elite program status. Unfortunately, their academic status will never match their football program.

Guys like me, we’re the complete opposite of guys like you. We would kill to win a national championship and I don’t care what has to happen to get that. I’m more like fans of Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio state. Do whatever it takes to pull in elite, five star talent. The football team can do that and the university as a whole can still keep it high, upstanding moral code that you want it to have.

I would dispel the notion that our academic reputation hinders on our football reputation. UM academics has never relied on a winning football program. Nor should the football program rely on an academic reputation. Win games. Be the best and the reputation follows.

This is pretty much what the entire nation says about Michigan fans. They all act like they went there and they are so sensitive after losing for 2 decades they want to ban and censor the opponents. “Keep your friends close and your enemies closer”. This is a culture at Ohio State and it’s fan base. We respect our opponent and enjoy listening and reading what they have to say. Not everyone is a troll, but what’s wrong with keep people honest. I’ve read a lot of BS...like Fields and online classes or how he couldn’t get into to Michigan. The truth was Michigan standard for football players isn’t really that high...they will help them get through, just like everywhere else. Fields had offered to Harvard, Yale, Northwestern...I’m pretty sure he would be just fine at the Michigan. To be honest, watching an arrogant fan base squirm and blame anything from academic standards to cheating is hilarious. Extreme ownership is what separates those who execute under pressure from those who crumble and point fingers. There’s a good book By Jocko Willink who is a retired Navy Seal, that that speaks in depth how the train Navy Seals and CEO’s at major corporations. It’s called Extreme Ownership...Michigan Football team and fan base should read it

Let them enjoy it. They need it. The rest of Ohio sports is anywhere between hot garbage or perennial underachievers who win something maybe once every half century. Outside of OSU football, the entire state is one big sports abyss. Many of those people still have to wake up tomorrow and remember that they’re fucking Browns fans.

We've had some reasonable fans of other programs on the blog over the years, so outright bans are likely out of the question, but the worst of the worst, yeah, we've tried to clip at that over time. The problem is that they can simply create new accounts minutes later.

It’s called conversation, perspective...diversity. You have to be willing to listen to others without hearing the same old stuff all the time.
