Memorial Day - Thank You, Veterans.
On this Memorial Day we thank all those who served and those currently protecting our freedom. You are not forgotten. Thank you!
Memorial Day is for those who died while serving this country. Current and former service members get our own day, called Veterans Day.

Should be no reason to neg this post and people who do should be ashamed. Every single veteran you ask will point to someone who had it worse. Today is for those who had it the worst.
How so many really have no clue as to what Memorial Day is and sadly confuse it with Veteran's Day. Are people really that ignorant?
My understanding is that a veteran is a person who has served at any point in time in any branch of the military. So even current members would meet that definition. But then again, there is an unspoken insinuation that the service is over.

of those who gave their lives. Our soldiers' sacrfice and bravery has been shared by those left behind.
I did not know this, but I think it's terrific. Thanks for sharing.

A special thanks to all my fellow Vietnam Vet's who paid the ultimate sacrifice, God Bless the famlies left behind to bare the burden of a loved one and fallen hero....thanks to all the Vietnam Vet's who were never welcomed home, yet did all that was asked of them....I honor all who fallen.and their famlies...I will never forget..
The opening of Saving Private Ryan depicts it, it's like the first 23 mins of the movie, whenever I watch it I get real emotional. What a friggin balsy endeavor, we just threw a barrage of soldiers at them and to consider the lives sacrificed is simpy awesome. Makes me think that the French should kiss our asses forever!
there is 0% chance we would have been able to create a United States without France's help.
They too died and suffered to liberate France.
World War II wsa a collaborative effort. Americans tend to overlook that, but it really was.
If you consider all of the people who've ever lived on earth, the answer is a miniscule percentage.
Thank you to all that gave their lives to build and protect our freedom and resulting prosperity.
