Uptown funk gonna give it to ya?
Never gonna let you down...
I just picked up that shirt Teske is wearing at M-Den for like $7.
I have a Michigan Soccer shirt like that. It's actually a nice shirt.

So you think Simpson is listed too tall and Teske is listed too short?
Just speculating from one photo. I know it's not accurate in any way but based on those 4 listed heights and the photo.
simpson not 5'11
Alright, the real question here is who wins the battle of the hair between Watson and Wilson?
I am at a wedding reception and the speeches have been going for over a half hour. This is just way too much. People are bored, hungry, and thirsty. Let's go.

I hate that. Just disrespectful. Yell out "it's not about you!" Everyone will thank you for it.
Seriously. Speeches should be 5 minutes or less. After my post, it was over 40 minutes between four people. Unacceptable.

should be exciting!
Be thankful for Mgoblog!!

That is the place for observations such as yours. Good luck!
tough crowd, eh. hang in there
With Wilson's move to the 4, either Teske or Davis will be needed this year. Teske's shot-blocking should translate more immediately.
3 of these guys will play significant roles on next year's team.
Simpson is tiny but talented. He should be an excellent back up and then a 4-year contributor.
Watson's getting slept on but will be needed immediately. Next in the Caris-Nik-THJ lineage.
Teske/Davis are both legit big men. No more 4s masquerading at 5. Shot-blocking, finishing, screen-setting, rebounding -- what this team needs.
Mo Wags may still be our best shot blocker.
I just want whomever can out-rebound Walton to start.
Was lower than Donnal or Wilson's and barely above Kam Chatman's. But it was better than Doyle's!
Also he had the lowest block rate on the team in big ten play (because he had zero).
My point is - Teske will be better.
There was a bit of a learning curve for Wagner last season and his quick fouls often sent him right back to the bench. But I like his length and athleticism and think he makes significant strides this year.
Based on a small sample size and flimsy film evidence I still like Wagner over the incoming freshmen bigs, for now.
just saying that shot-blocking doesn't see like one of the reasons he'll play ahead of Teske/Davis/Donnal/Wilson.
I agree. First and foremost I want a center that can bang and at the very least out-rebound our PG. We've been slaughtered in the paint and on the boards far too much recently.
I wouldn't rule any of the legit bigs out at this point but I'm leaning Wagner based mostly on a year in Beilein's system and potential (sure hope he bulks up). I don't think Donnal or Wilson belong at the 5, ever, so if Teske or Davis show they're ready to play, by all means.
and letting the guards rebounds. Derrick Walton is the best rebounding guards in the league. There's nothing wrong with it as long as Michigan don't allow ton of offensive rebounds.
Teske is also the closest to the camera and X is farthest away. The closer you are to the camera, the bigger you're going to look.

I understand it wasn't a profound observation, but everyone's jump to conclusion mats made it seem I needed to point out the obvious. Or we can just go with Teske 7'6 and Simpson 4'6

nice. I have to remember to drop that "jump to conclusions mats" line in a work email at some point.
I suppose it's a matter of perspective.
Teske doesn't appear to have any feet! Once his foot implant surgery is complete he's going to be at least 7'4.
Teske and Davis actually look like B1G Big men. They both look a lot different from the last time I've seen them.
Davis is 7'5"
Did Simpson fall asleep?

are the forming a wall for a soccer match?
Not a good one. Its going right over X's head.

Not for a soccer match. For Stan Van Gundy instead.
All I can say is that, at all of 5'9", I know exactly how Simpson might feel in that photo. I have been the shortest person on a few teams in my day, although family events make me feel substantially better as I am on the taller end of those photos.
In all seriousness though, a nice hearty "Welcome To Michigan" for them all.
Mlive's version listed Teske at 210 pounds. No effing way.
