N'Faly Dante is a 5 star center who just reclassified to 2019 and committed to Oregon. Jon Rothstein responded by moving Oregon into his preseason top 10. We play Oregon at home this year in the non con with a potential second matchup in the Battle 4 Atlantis.

This ignores that UM has been cleaner than anybody could be for well over a decade and that hard evidence exists of rampant cheating from too many other schools to count.  If only the NCAA seemed to care.  Didn't they say they'd come out with punishment for the schools caught in the FBI investigation by now?

If he’s on fire during a game will the announcers have to talk about his Inferno?

was this a kid we were in the running for? Or is this just OT and we are having a chat about Oregon basketball? Not that I mind...Edit: never mind saw it’s an opponent.

I just cannot believe these recruits are willing to tank their draft value by going to Oregon.  Louis King was a potential first rounder, went undrafted.  Bol Bol was basically a definite first rounder with NBA pedigree and dropped like a stone into the mid second.  Nobody even watches Oregon basketball because its the Pac-12.  The decisions these kids make baffle me. You show them some nice facilities and promise a bag and they'll jeopardize their whole ass future.

Please, the nfl will find you no matter where you play. It’s not like he committed to Rutgers, Oregon has been one of the most successful programs the last 15 years. Not like Chip Kelly never attracted 5*’s to Oregon, don’t forget thanks to Nike they probably have top ten facilities among all schools. Now had he signed with Oregon State then maybe eyebrows raise.

The only one I might disagree with is Georgia. Cream has always recruited well, he never was a part of any kind of extra benefits at IU. And a lot of the guys he is pulling in would have come to IU to play for him as well. I’m fact, I think a few of his recruits are related to some of his past players. Just my 2 cents. I’ve known him for quite some time. I’m not saying they’re not giving out benefits, because I believe their football team does. But I would certainly be surprised to learn they were getting those recruits with extra benefits.

I really wanted to like Eugene when I went there on a trip a couple years ago. I didn’t mind the rain. I thought it would be like an Ann Arbor or a Boulder or at least a smaller version of those. I did not find it an appealing college town. It was run down, the downtown lacked a real community feel, the campus was meh. It almost felt like a commuter school.

Comparing Eugene to two of the most beautiful and spirited college towns in the country isn’t really fair (my oldest goes to CU, I’ve got two M degrees).

For athletes, there is a ton that’s attractive about Eugene, though.  I’m not a big fan, but the athletic facilities are outstanding.  The basketball stadium is very modern, very sharp, and there are all kinds of Phil Knight extras around campus.  Plus you get an extremely progressive city, good food, excellent beer, great music scene, and cheap legal pot served in seemingly bottomless supply.

Plus the school is small enough that athletes are absolute royalty, and academics are not as challenging as M.

Of course I’d pick M, but I can see how O has it’s attractions too.
