Great job by the O and Donovan Edwards. Beat ohio.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:11 PM ^
Loved seeing Edwards stepping up when he had the chance. We all knew he had the potential
November 20th, 2021 at 7:12 PM ^
Great routes, hands and YAC for Edwards.
November 20th, 2021 at 9:31 PM ^
I almost wonder if he could start over Henning at slot.
November 21st, 2021 at 6:57 AM ^
Slot is a different animal than catching put of the backfield. Most of Edward's yards came when he was being covered by a LB. Henning doesn't have that luxury a lot of times as he'll be getting covered by a nickel or safety.
November 21st, 2021 at 6:23 PM ^
Henning doesn't "starter" snaps as it is
November 20th, 2021 at 7:06 PM ^
CRABCAKES! That's what Maryland does!
November 20th, 2021 at 7:07 PM ^
And football?

November 20th, 2021 at 7:08 PM ^
I like that we scored more points today than OSU did. May that trend continue.
November 20th, 2021 at 8:16 PM ^
OSU shut it down in the second half
November 20th, 2021 at 8:44 PM ^
To be fair, we shut it down at the end of the 3rd Qtr.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:08 PM ^
The refs are doing my boy Carter Selzer dirty.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:25 PM ^
Again!
Breakout player next year
November 20th, 2021 at 7:35 PM ^
Probably not since this is his 5th-year
November 20th, 2021 at 7:10 PM ^
Maryland is bad. But the offense looks like it’s peaking. I loved, loved the way it looked for most of the game.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:46 PM ^
You are very optimistic. You do realize that Maryland has a bottom end Big Ten Defense. I suppose you can peak in one week......maybe I'm being optimistic.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:54 PM ^
You are being a troll, as normal.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:58 PM ^
I find solace in the fact that the most extreme naysayers have been wrong all season. May that continue.
November 20th, 2021 at 11:06 PM ^
What a miserable child you must be. Do you spend as much time on YOUR team’s blog? (bfeeavveerr)
November 20th, 2021 at 7:11 PM ^
Had 5 possessions end without points. Fire everyone.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:11 PM ^
Donovan Edwards is a revelation. Him receiving out of the backfield has to be in the playbook next week Corum or no Corum. He's gonna be a weapon
November 20th, 2021 at 7:25 PM ^
Thinking about Corum and Edwards being a 1-2 punch next year is tantalizing!
November 20th, 2021 at 7:29 PM ^
Maybe? Those were plays that Corum has run—good stuff, but not new—and you don’t want to crimp Corum’s touches too much. He’s the most explosive player we have.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:51 PM ^
I believe Anthony and Edwards are both more explosive than Corum. Just my opinion. Corum is good against MAC level and bottom 4 of Big Ten defenses. Again just my opinion. Watch more tape of Edwards and Corum and I think you will eventually see that Edwards is the man. Corum can be Robin. But he ain't Batman.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:59 PM ^
lol no
November 20th, 2021 at 8:17 PM ^
You have takes. I'll say as much.
November 20th, 2021 at 8:35 PM ^
Thanks for stopping by, Mrs. Edwards
November 20th, 2021 at 8:41 PM ^
Anyone who doubted that your takes are bad need not doubt any longer.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:53 PM ^
The reason Donovan was rated so high was particularly for this reason, though. WR was his primary position from a youngin all the way up until his about his Soph Yr. That dude has hands and is a legit good route runner.
November 20th, 2021 at 11:24 PM ^
Corum has a second gear... but Edwards might have a third gear. The way he accelerated on the long touchdown was incredible.
If Corum is 100%, I think you relegate Edwards to third string next week, but I wouldn't hate to see him get 7-10 snaps. But if Corum isn't 100%... Edwards makes for a compelling option.
November 21st, 2021 at 12:42 PM ^
Would love to see some two back sets. Shit, have Haskins, Corum, and Edwards run triple option on short yardage.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:12 PM ^
Took care of business.
Cannot start out slow next week by continuing to run into the box when the opponent knows it. That's an easy way to get down a couple scores before your offense gets going.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:35 PM ^
Exactly this. I wish I could trust that we won't do it.
November 21st, 2021 at 10:45 AM ^
We ran a very balanced attack against Maryland
November 21st, 2021 at 4:05 PM ^
There's no question that Michigan needs to be able to run on Saturday. Any winning scenario probably requires us chewing up clock in the second half with a steady running attack.
But there's no reason they can't use first-down passes to keep the chains moving and set the run up with a varied passing game. Basically showed that it is something the existing gameplan is already capable of yesterday.
We'll see.

Double post
November 20th, 2021 at 7:13 PM ^
Donovan edwards. Another game like that with Andrel Anthony making his presence felt gonna have a chance maybe. All phases today were fantastic.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:43 PM ^
I dont know why Andrel isn't getting more snaps. Cornelius has the dropsies and it seems like Baldwin still gets a number of whatever snaps. Andrel looks like an emerging star
November 20th, 2021 at 8:34 PM ^
He does, but there seems to be a reason and for once I feel like the coaches are doing a good job with the receivers so I'm guessing that they've got good reasons. Maybe it's downfield blocking, maybe it's fully developing the route tree, maybe understanding the whole playbook and the adjustments that need to be made (especially in a no-huddle where nobody can tell you what your assignment is when the play is called).
Ceiling is high for Anthony, though. Really high.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:13 PM ^
Great season fellas! I'll catch you all next September.

Charlie Brown may have been invisible but he did kick the football with Lucy holding that one time. It can happen. May it happen. Let’s do this.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:58 PM ^
My concern about Lucy this year is that she’s actually holding a concrete block instead of a football. Wilson, Olave and Smith-Njigba are all really good. We need Ojabo and Hutchinson to play the games of their lives.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:14 PM ^
This was the best the offense looked since Northern Illinois. Good timing for next week!
November 20th, 2021 at 7:14 PM ^
My snowflake take: It was good
November 20th, 2021 at 7:16 PM ^
Michigan record of 171 receiving yards for a running back! Great to see and it gives Ohio something to think about. ...which could leave some open elsewhere if they over compensate.
November 20th, 2021 at 7:16 PM ^
Too many good things happened to mention; ie one handers from Anthony and Saindristil-for a TD. HELLOOOO DONAVAN EDWARDS!! WOW! Now a 3 headed monster in the backfield! Cade made great plays and JJ did his thing.
This was great showing!! GO BLUE!
November 20th, 2021 at 7:18 PM ^
Dear Santa,
If you could get Cornelius Johnson to use his hands instead of his chest when making a reception that would be great.
thanks
November 20th, 2021 at 7:47 PM ^
Agree, but how about asking Tom Turkey for that? I don’t want to wait until Christmas.
