Per ESPN, Mallett to stay at Arkansas. Therefore, not the dumbest QB this year in the SEC. Congrats Jevan.

I guess staying close to Momma really is the most important thing in Mallett's life. Now that I'm over being pissed at him for leaving, I sorta respect this decision.

by Mallett to stay for one more year. He still needs a lot of work before he were to be considered as a 1st round pick. He certainly has the tools to be a top 10 pick.

I wonder if NFL called LC scouts and got his take on the kid. If they did, I am sure that made them think twice about him and gave Ryan the bad news that he'd be drafted very low

have to stick with Jamarcus for another year.
Mallett will be a Raider in 2011, Al Davis can't pass up that arm.
Smart move by Mallett, should be a first rounder next year rather than a second or third rounder this year.

Now if only Al can get Usain Bolt to line up at SE..... Raider Return to Excellence in 2011.

Maybe Mallet stayed to work on that throwback QB screen he tried to run against ND.

glad he made the right decision, he's got a good head on his shoulders

That is the first time I have heard that phrase used in reference to Ryan Mallett

...and probably the last time as well.

is the one in his lap.

Yes, the kid's a moron and a drunk. But I think there's an outside shot he could be the overall #1 pick in 2011 if he ends up performing well at the combine. Scouts love size and potential.

"kid"
When Mallett transferred, he did it the right way, respectfully and without causing a fuss in the media - everyone needs to get over it. Save your hatred for someone that deserves it.

No way Mallett will be the #1 pick in 2011. What would the Lions do with Stafford & Mallett?
January 8th, 2010 at 1:35 PM ^
Wildcat.
January 8th, 2010 at 2:10 PM ^
But which one would line up at receiver then?
January 8th, 2010 at 2:34 PM ^
Tebow.
January 8th, 2010 at 2:11 PM ^
With Tebow and Snead (and Crompton, I suppose) out of the SEC, Mallett will be the top QB in that league by a longshot. Assuming he doesn't get hurt, he'll be a very high draft pick a year from April.

quick, name the last SEC quarterback not named Manning to win the super bowl? Everyone knows there are irrelevant. its the ESSSS EEEEE CEEEEE SPEEEEEEED that makes great pros. not laser-rocket arms.
duh
