M Soocer at Maryland - NCAA Tournament Elite Eight - Sat 1pm

Submitted by jgunnip on

Arguably the biggest game in the history of our young program. Winner secures a trip to the Final Four in Santa Barbara next weekend and some major national TV face time.

A couple of articles preveiwing all the Elite 8 matchups here, (http://www.collegesoccernews.com/). North Carolina, who knocked off MSU last weeked, defeated SMU in PKs last night (their thrid staight win on PKs) and is the first time to punch their ticket.

With 6'42" left in the 2OT period. Michigan advances to their first College Cup in their short 10 year varsity sport history. Game-winning goal scored by freshman Fabio Pereira.

i have to think Michigan will be the late game on friday

with N carolina having a bigger following, and they are in the eastern time zone

So I am assuming the later game , especially if Cal beats Akron !
