I am surprised that a program hasn't thrown money at him a long time ago to be a HC.

YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!

They should, the man is overdue for a head coach job and Louisville is a solid one, better than the Uconn job he turned down. I see this one going to Petrino though. WKU has apparently already interviewed his OC as a replacement.

Which makes one wonder WHY Louisville would want a guy who's already left once.
Hopefully Narduzzi is interviewed and impresses UL officials - where they see another Charlie Strong. Anything to get Pat out of our hair.

FWIW - all of the comments on there are saying inside sources say Petrino has the Louisville job as a done deal.
January 8th, 2014 at 1:18 PM ^
Yeah. ESPN just put out that Petrino has been offered the job.

Who wouldn't want Petrino back?
Thanks to LSU Freek.

Petrino content is the best.

Jeebus. Please return to Louisville asap. Or take over my Temple Owls.

Watch this GIF while listening to "Goodbye Horses." My phone rang the second I saw this. It's my ringtone, which makes people comically uncomfortable when it goes off in public. Then I shoot them a sheepish grin. I cackle every time.

I know the reaction you're talking about. I slip "Goodbye Horses" into playlists during parties or carpools for the same reason.

Do you then come out of a bedroom, penis in tuck, wearing lipstick and a maroon frock? Yeah, that gets mixed reactions.

After last April, I don't feel bad for Louisville no matter what.

It's NOT a gateway job. Also, not a single person has died from overdosing Louisville job.

Washington and Colorado are taking big steps to legalize Louisville job, why not us too? It's clear that we're losing the War on Louisville Job and it's costing us billions every year fighting it.

Don't bogart that Louisville Job, man. Pass it to Pat.

Petrino wants the job. He interviewed for the job today. Sources say the coordinator at WKU was asked to be the new head coach of WKU. So the chances that Narduzzi goes there about about slim to none. I'd bet heavily on the Narduzzi isn't going there side.

who is Narduzzo?
ok, i'm kidding. but i do hope we have a lot more posts about him, he is my favorite guy.

Whoa Coach Schiano, just because you got fired doesn't mean you have to be jealous. We're sorry there's no threads to start about you, but nobody wants you.

douchebag. They should move beyond Petrino. With so many good candidates out there, UoL should not be that desperate to hire a coach who had put his mistress on the payroll.
January 7th, 2014 at 10:05 PM ^
Wasn't she on the payroll before she was his mistress?
January 7th, 2014 at 10:30 PM ^
I guess he would be slightly less of a douchebag if she was already on the payroll.

To turn it around I need a better OC. Al Borges can do it.

I think it's your endless "we're terrible/doomed" negativity. So, negs for negativity.

with someone living in Louisville on Monday. According to him, everyone down there wants Petrino... he was pushing for Tressel! His logic was you take the pressure off by knowing up front your first five games are losses (show cause) and that Tressel could immediately shore up recruiting and "bring respectibility."
Did I forget to mention the guy is an OSU grad? LOL....
January 7th, 2014 at 10:08 PM ^
I hope he leaves, but it shouldn't take a coordinator/coach leaving another school for Michigan to beat someone. If Michigan is to get back to an elite level, we won't worry about things like this so much. (not directed at the OP - but any Michigan fan that seems to wishing ever so dearly he leaves).

I don't really care if Narduzzi stays at MSU or leaves, but how the hell does the AD at Louisville go from a guy with a squeaky clean image (true or not) to Petrino?
