Looks like multiple Michigan Facebook accounts have been hacked

If you haven't been over to Facebook this morning, it looks like multiple accounts including the football and basketball accounts have been hacked.

Edit: since someone suggested this could be a source of bad press for M, wanted to amend my comment to remove any mentions of the specifics of the posts. Hope they fix this and get their account back quickly.

I made that comment at 4am...I wasn't calling for anyone to get fired. It was just the posts got more obnoxious as they went along. I work thirds, I was watching it unfold. The first one was something along the lines of "historic pictures", then they kept amping up.

The self-righteous users get here with MGoPoints is laughable. Deep breaths, no one is worked up here, Francis.

"Harbaugh hacks UofM Facebook accounts in attempt to prove that he's 'more than just a football coach'.. The world prepares for a war they know they can't win." .. This Jeff Moss story just got real interesting.

Apparently it was hacked by the banner ad at the bottom of every website you've ever been on

"Top 20 things you didn't know she wants in the bedroom"

"You won't believe what happens next!"

"The pictures Jessica Alba DIDN'T want you to see!"

I've got very little technical knowledge (and I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night), but I wonder how long it would take for whoever's in charge to shut down or delete the Facebook accounts for University of Michigan Athletics, Michigan Football and Michigan Basketball.

Would it be that complicated to shut down or delete those accounts while someone figures out how to prevent the hacking from happening again?

It's not like anyone who sees it actually believes that the University of Michigan would post that on their facebook page. If you do, you're gullible as hell. It will be fixed in the morning.
