Lions rush three again to lose by a field goal!

I would either fire Campbell or DC Glenn.   Cousins had all day to set up and fire a 20 yard pass and stop the clock for a 55 yarder.

No doubt. The conundrum, however, is that the more help you get via the draft, the better the team becomes, hurting their future chances of getting similarly high draft picks. And a team like the Lions has to get a big-time QB via the draft if they're going to contend for a sustained period of time. It isn't impossible to do that with a pick outside, say, the top 5. But it gets less and less likely.

Yeah the Lions are pretty much guaranteed the worst roster in the NFL next season too. Top 5 picks for the next 3 drafts seems quite possible, if not downright likely. Frankly I wouldnt want a rookie QB on next years roster anyway. They would probably sit behind Goff regardless as his restructure makes cutting him before next season unlikely. Snag BPA, you know they need it. Don't force a QB selection during a down class.

It's honestly impressive that they manage to do this over and over, year after year. Had no doubt they were going to lose after getting the 2pt conversion with time left and the Vikings having 2 timeouts.

1994, Michigan hosts Colorado.  Last play of the game, M rushes three, Stewart hooks up with Westbrook.  Colorado leaves A2 with the 27-26 win.

Maybe it's the water in SE Michigan.

They are def tanking, which is the right choice since they still have a young roster with little talent.

If you aren’t a contender, tank and get some talent. No sense in being in the middle of the pack like the Vikings and others have been over the past 5-10 years.

Tanking isn't worth much in the NFL. You have a 53-man roster and will need to draft well across multiple rounds and multiple years. Stockpiling draft picks makes sense, but tanking in the NFL just screws your fans for little benefit. I guess it might help you get a great QB but there are also a lot of duds there and great QBs can come later too. Who is the last generational QB that went #1 overall, Peyton Manning?

How does the guy who decides to go for two and the win then turn around and rush three at the end?

None of this makes sense, until you remember it's the Lions we're talking about.

On a side note, this Packers-Bengals game is unreal.

5 missed fgs and a missed extra point and in OT now.

4 of the misses (3fgs, xtra point) by Crosby who was one of the top kickers in the league the past 2 years.

College kickers?  Were $ yesterday.

NFL kickers....CHAOS today!

And...Aaron Rogers is still good at football.

Jax got blown out.

Over-Under on Urbz surviving the week?

Only interested because of CFB job openings.

I dont think USC would go that route...I think they may target frames.

I expect Urbz back in the SEC where he belongs next year, at LSU.

Meyer may be too toxic for any major school to hire.

Though I wouldn’t be surprised if he outright “retired” from coaching, I could see him landing at a lower tier P5 school without an insane amount of pressure to win. Something on the level of a Texas Tech, Colorado, Cal, or similar.

The only major programs I could see really interested in him would be FSU if they move on from Norvell after only 2 seasons, Miami if they finally pull the plug on Diaz, or MAYBE Oregon if Cristobal were to leave for Miami.
