Latest Daily Harbaugh Tweet

Submitted by michgoblue on

For those as addicted to these types of tweets as I am, on a slow day on the offseason board, here's your daily dose of Harbaugh:

Coach Harbaugh@CoachJim4UM13 mins13 minutes ago

Spirited competition to determine reps, play time & starters @UM. Fierce focused competition key to Improvement- Success- Wins-Championships

I know that this is not dissimilar to what every coach says, but man does this attitude pump me up for the upcoming season.  You can tell that Harbaugh is looking forward to Spring practice as much as anyone!

For those who do not like the daily harbaugh-tweet posts, I tried to label this topic pretty clearly so that you wouldn't have to click unnecessarily.

If you are going to snark, at least make sure that you are correct.  Yesterday's tweet was:

Coach Harbaugh@CoachJim4UMFeb 12

Meritocracy- Process to determine an elite Team. Progress determined by Talent, Execution & Effort to ratchet up in Bo's house Feb 24th 2015

Similar message, but not the same tweet.

wonder what Hokes daily tweets would have been like? on a serious note I would like to find a school with 2 better Twitter coaches than Michigan with Harbaugh and Bacari

I was a little reluctant at first to have threads for all these tweets just from a mod standpoint, but as a fan, they are proving to be rather entertaining and engaging. I tend to agree with the OP really - these are getting me rather excited to see how this teams shakes out in the spring and then on into fall camp. It's been a while since I've been this intrigued, but I think the potential for some interesting battles just about everywhere is what is driving me there.

Yes indeed. If it werent for these threads Id remain completely in the dark and miss the inner workings of this mad genius' mind. I say keep them coming please.

I'm getting fatigued of the words "compete" and "competition" relative to college football.

I'm all for them in practice (no pun intended), they just seem to way, way overused in descriptions of what we did in practice, how we're going to play, how a kid looked of film, yadda. It's starting to lose its meaning to me.

All for The Harbuagh and winning and all that stuff, so please don't negbang me into oblivion. Just making an observation.

I agree, and how much of it is subjective on the evaluator. I believe the step from Hoke to Harbaugh we got an upgrade in evaluation (and overall coaching) which will show on game day when the best players are on the field not the ones that supposedly deserve to be in there. Tbh I wouldn't be surprised if we saw Speight or Malzone in there over Morris if they could run the offense more effectively or were more efficient.
