Late afternoon/evening games Open Thread

Submitted by Avant's Hands on

Couple of afternoon games are still finishing up and then two of our rivals play what should be interesting games this evening. In Knoxville, Tennessee has just tied Georgia 24-24 in the 4th. And Okie St. just jumped back in front of Kansas St by 1 late in the game.

Hope we get a "Carlos Hyde" effort from Toussaint when we play NW. We're going to need it.

Well, we all somehow had to know this was coming. OSU manages to pull a win out of its ass despite a Braxton having a very uninspiring game. Maybe Roby, after getting gashed for the second straight week, will stop talking like his shit doesn't stink.

Oh well. We'll get our shot at them next month. That's all we can ask for. Hopefully we can channel our inner 90s and hand them their only loss of the season.

Northwestern looked like the better team for about 80% of that game, and if OSU ends up playing them in the conference title game, I'd be surprised if NW doesn't win.

A NW loss was not the best outcome. OSU won't lose now and more than likely it won't matter if Michigan beats them because they'll still get into the B1G championship game.

Im sick of OSU, the only hard game they have left is Michigan, and if we dont put our game face on i can se URban scum Meyer go undefeated again..i hope we beat them so we can ruin their perfect season, they will most likely come to the big house undefeated... I also hope Oregon keeps winning because if they keep the number 2 spot then OSU will have no chance going to the national championship game.. Offcourse Albama has to keep the numbe 1 spot

I would love to see that.. Oregon deserves it, they are really good, i think they are better than alabama, and those oregon players are like energizer bunny, full speed from start to finish..its unbelivable when you watch them, how fast paces they play

It will be up to us. Other teams can give Ohio tough games but only Michigan has the athletic ceiling to pull the dang thing off. The problem is....Ohio will be jacked up for us as well. We just need to improve ourselves week to week and not worry about Ohio....their schedule is despicable and everyone knows it. We need to save college football and knock this team out of contention in addition to building our own champuonship foundation!

Anyone want to explain how osu got this big ten schedule?

Wisconsin-Home

Northwestern- Away

Iowa- Home

Penn State-Home

Purdue- Away

Illinois- Away

Indiana- Home

Michigan-Away

Don't have to travel to Iowa City, State College, or East Lansing. Only have to ''travel'' to 40 thousand seat Ryan Field and Ann Arbor. Come on.

as it is to watch Ohio continue to win games and play a shitty schedule, we will have our shot, that is the beauty of it all. I am just hoping that we are healthy and vastly improved in every aspect by the time November 30 rolls around. it is time for us to put an end to this streak, even if Ohio still plays in the B1G title game, we need to kick their ass at the end of november.

I know michigan would get their asses handed to them by a good team but will someone give ohio a dose of reality? 18-0? That doesn't mean shit in the big ten were behind the sec acc PAC 12 and big 12 we suck. Our conference is terrible and I wish osu plays Oregon or bama so they can keep thinking their brand of football is good it's really not. If michigan can't beat them this year we have some serious problems

Believe it or not but B1G has been always bad, the only dominant teams have been UofM and OSU, maybe wisonsin will show up every now and then..the problem is that other conferences have gotten a lot better..while others take a step forward big ten takes one back..besides us and osu, recruiting has alway been bad amongst other big ten teams and its not getting better either, whereas SEC no matter how bad their teams are they still get number one recruits (Ole Miss) perfect example

Someone should tell him to look at his own quarterback for inspiration on terrible QBs.

Probably should include Roby and the Ohio secondary as well for uninspiring play.

The funny thing is OSU got that touchdown call earlier in the game on the review and I don't know how you overturn the call on the field that he did not break the plane. Maybe the video evidence appeared to have been a touchdown but I thought it was disputable considering the deceptive camera angles. Game could have been entirely different if they make that call stand since I though it was debatable whether the ball broke the plane. I really really want to beat them this year. Guess it's like that every year.

Yep.  It's mind-boggling that a replay official would overturn that call without a straight camera angle.  I'm not much of a conspiracy theorist, but it's hard for me to believe that Big Ten officials aren't at least subconciously biased favor of OSU.  They know that OSU is the conference's best shot to be remotely relevant this year.

One of many reasons I love NCAAF more than the NFL: late night west coast games. This Stanford/WA game won't end until 1:30 or 2:00 AM EST. This is awesome.

It's cool how patient UW has been with Sark.  Granted, they were a dumpster fire when he got there, but in takes a while to really build a winning culture and they've given him time.

oops....long return
