Kovacs

Submitted by coldnjl on

No matter how this game goes, we can all say "thank god for Kovacs". all he does is put himself in the best position on any given play and MAKES the tackle. I know we want someone with more athletic ability there, but if we had a team full of Kovacs, are defense would be a hell of alot better

kovacs is a good kid that's doing his best every play. and you know that he's doing it without the best skill set and athletic ability. this is the only positive comment i can make about michigan football right now.

I really wish he had that pick 6 though.

but i have always like kovacs. he is my favorite player on defense right now just because his heart and knowledge of the game.

a team full of kovacs is basically TCU and Boise State and that looks good.

Lets give TCU and Boise State some credit their players have speed and can cover. Kovacs knowledge of the game has never helped him beat a block from a FB even when he and everyone else knows the off tackle play is coming and his knowledge of the game doesn't help him break up a pass to a TE. He has heart and that's great but let be real he is a average/ below average player on a Bad Defense.

Kovacs has always impressed me - certainly not a great athlete, but he does make plays out there.  Typical compliments, I know, but just a good guy out there.

The entire defense played a lot more aggressively today. Obv still a lot of missed tackles, including ones that allowed huge 3rd down conversions. And, of course, times when Gerg decides its best for the defense to meet the ball AT the first down marker, forcing them to concede no yards after contact tackling from their heels.

The offense missed Molk but actually got it going without him. Too little too late, but a pleasant surprise nonetheless.

Lewan's a headcase.

Can Hagerup kick FGs? Or kickoffs?

Not to be all 2009 = 2010 (we'll win 2-3 more this season), but it was eerie to watch the backup come in and lead an inspiring comeback that ultimately falls short.

He deserved the kudos, even in the middle of that. If only they could all tackle like that. (And yes, it worries me that the walk on is the only one who can tackle).
