Please keep voting for Michigan and Denard to make it on the cover of NCAA Football 14, Ed O'Bannon's lawsuit be damned!

We're only ~3,000 votes behind, and we're catching up.

There's no reason not to do this.  Unless I suppose you hate America.  Or don't have facebook.

Honestly, unless you want to see Eddie Lacy on the cover instead of Denard, go vote immediately.

BONUS:  The facebook page cover photo.  ND would have Manti Teo's fake girlfriend on the cover.  No wonder they lost.

Thanks for the reminder, but I don't think voting now will change anything as Michigan/Denard has already advanced to the Semis (round of 8), and it looks like they reset the vote in the next round. I hate contests that do that, but it is what it is.

Please remind next week to get out the vote.

If we win, denard is on the cover no matter what? Is there no chance for it to be a legend from the past or maybe kovacs? I will still vote, as I would rather have him than any player from any other school, I'm just less excited to win this now

You're 100% right, Denard is such a terrible representative of the school and program we should probably cut ties with him altogether.  He always has been a black eye on the program.  And what a mediocre, boring career he had here.

They should go with Kovacs, or Brady, or Harmon, maybe Baas.  I certainly wouldn't want Woodson, or Desmond, or Braylon, or Manningham, or Hart for sure.  And I think Dileo or Jake Ryan could be great representatives in the future.

To answer the question you are asking: I have hated watching our offense since he has been at the helm. I know his big pluses look pretty, but they are few and far between considering all the three and outs. Every year was the same. He blows the doors off mid majors to start the year, and gives the whole conference film on how to stop him. It was my belief that we go 7-5 as opposed to 5-7 his freshman year if Rodriguez just left Tate at qb and didn't keep breaking his rhythm with denard. This also would have meant the Sparta streak never existed. His sophomore year, he was probably our best option, as that staff and team were just a mess, and Tate turned into a head case. Then, when Hoke cane, I remember sitting at the spring game talking to my friend. I said. Why don't we use Gardner at QB? He won't break 80 yard runs, but is more than capable of using his legs to keep drives moving, and is a better passer. This would also let denard play a role where he could help the team more. We were seared by some former players who had played in the flag football game before the spring game. One such player overheard our conversation. He said that denard was only staying because he was assured to be given an opportunity to remain at qb. I don't blame him for this, but then I asked if Gardner could beat him out. This former player said that it probably wouldn't happen. He said there is no way the new staff was willing to alienate their fan base before the first season even started. No matter how bad he looked, they would have to use him for the first year. Then we had a great year. I think we probably win more games without him that year, but it's a pointless argument at this point. This year, the reason Gardner moved to receiver is that he was supposed to be in a real qb competition, but when the ridiculous heisman hype started, we were stuck with starting Robinson t qb no matter what again. As a token to Gardner, he was given pt at receiver. Sorry for the long winded reply. I think he is a great athlete, and should have been a huge playmaking asset on a more successful team in a different position, but all I will remember him for is missed throws, red zone turnovers, and disappointing losses. Some great memories of winning defensive battles, and some unbelievable catches on horrible throws. I do wish him well in the NFL at a better-suited position

My thought process looking at the pic of all the possible cover athletes: "Why is the Notre Dame athlete non-exist.... Oooohhhh I see what you did there!"
