Kansas State QB Will Howard transferring

He's a grad transfer and might well be the best QB in the portal. I think because this year's QB draft class is loaded, JJ has a good reason to consider returning, but I'm going to assume that he will declare for the draft and will bring in at least one QB. Howard is gonna be highly sought after but since he'll be a 5th year, M should have little problem in getting him if they want him.

Going forward, I want to make sure our quarterback has good mobility. I don’t think we utilize JJ’s legs enough but it’s there when we need it. A mobile quarterback makes this offense so lethal, because it stresses the defense and opens up the run game.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but JJ falling to the late 1st round might be the best thing for his career, as he will likely end up at a more stable organization  that has good key pieces around him. Maybe he could even sit behind a seasoned vet QB for a season before taking the reigns.

I always feel sort of bad for these QBs take too 5 to 10 that go to complete dumpster fires who refuse to build up their offensive lines, they just get thrown to the wolves….the list of flame out top 5 QBs seems too long.
