Jordan/Nike making Block M smaller on hats now
I’ve noticed some change with Nike/Jordan lately that I’ve seen complaints about in the past.
Some people don’t like the oversized look of the Block M on hats so they prefer the Bo M hat that Harbaugh wears 24/7. Of course there are lots of fans of wear it just because it’s the Bo M but that was a complaint on this site around the time the switch happened 4 years ago and is still one I hear today.
Jordan/Nike have slightly shrunk the Block M logo on hats.
On the left is a new to 2020 Jordan Block M hat with the smaller logo that has more Blue real estate now compared to what’s next to it.
On the right is a 2016 Block M sideline hat, it’s the one Don Brown always wore.
I noticed a size difference with 2 hats last year but now it’s across the board changed. I have a theory on why this is.
I think Jordan/Nike wants the Block M logo hat proportionate in size with the Bo M logo so they don’t have two separate scales for two separate logos. Here is the 2020 Block M hat next to a 2016 Bo M hat that you see Harbaugh wear all the time
They’re the same size. And here is that same Bo M hat but 3 Jordan or Nike Block M hats I have bought all this long offseason. The sizes all match up.

The Uyghur slaves working in the Nike factories were getting restless, more security thugs were needed for control and that caused an increase in overhead. To compensate, less maize thread = lower materials costs.

IMO, it's not the size that matters, it's the thickness. (That's what she said).
The Bo one is too thin, the other too thick.

I'd bet the theory has more to do with 'slightly different size so people will buy the slightly different version' angle than anything else. Next year the 'M' size or placement will be slightly tweaked some more so they can sell more hats to everyone who needs to have the latest version.

It's weird that "apparel thread about the size of a block M" seems to foreign. I mean, it's still weird to focus this heavy on but at least it's a reprieve from overreacting to random OSU twitter accounts.

God Fucking Damn. Looking at the detailed pictures he has provided, I believe this poster might just be right!! That motherfucking M is a little bit smaller! I don't know if I am going to accomplish a single fucking thing today because all I can think about is the M on those "Jordan/NIke" hats.

I did notice the "Bo M" hat isn't in the MDen catalog this fall. Currently directly on New Era's site, there's only one size left, everything else is sold out. It's not being discontinued, is it?
