Their heads will explode.

Yes. This will be the road uniform for every away game this season, well and updated adidas version of what I posted. Word is that Harbaugh gave adidas this exact picture to base thier design off of.

I know it's been awhile (thanks for nothing Dave) but Michigan IS playing state at home this year. So white pants won't be worn then.
Hopefully not ever again. The more I look at that sample the more I don't care for it and like the Blue pants better. Or just stick to what it always has been.

Harbaugh in the eyes of many is 0-3 with helmet stickers (if true), jumpmans, and white pants...but everyone is "meh" about it.
If this happened last year people would be completely outraged.

Bo's teams had helmet stickers and wore white pants. As far as I know, Jumpmans didn't exist back then, but I remember the team wearing Nikes.

They do. They're very plain. Though I think the one shown back when that tweet came out was a sample of what the jersey may look like.
We shall know soon. The MDen catalog is shipping and will be here any day now. The last couple of years have dropped some unexpected bombshells. UTL III uniform was revealed when the catalog shipped as was the annual Hockey jersey circus where I get increasingly angry about them changing every year.
BTW, MDen confirmed they're changing AGAIN. They also told me Basketball will be getting new uniforms this year as well to reflect the fixed Maize coloring as well as just an update template.

Those look fine. I'm all for simplifying things and think maybe Harbaugh and the team are rallying behind that. I'm so glad they did away with Brandon's merit badge program.

at Stanford, fall of '74. Not a good look. The maize stripes disappear, so there's nothing to pick up the maize in the helmet. Looks like a blue and white uni with a maize and blue helmet. Maybe they'll look better on TV.

at Stanford in the fall of '74. Not a good look. Very bland. The maize stripes disappear, leaving the uni looking white and blue and the helmet maize and blue, but in a diminshed way, because the maize pants usually bring out the wing design. Maybe it'll look better on TV.

I think if you can just rephrase that one more time you're gonna hit a home run!

I know we are talking about a new permanent away jersey, but as far as alternates go... I don't mind them at all every once in awhile. It just annoys the crap out of me they are made for our big games, generally against big time programs and rivals. I.e. we looked so stupid rolling out against alabama in those jerseys---not because of the specific design, but because it should have been our two classic uniforms lining up. Same with playing psu and same with ..yes.. sparty. I wish we could save the pizazz alternating each year away at Rutgers and Maryland being that they will likely be prime time more often than not and other games like that....

I also think we should get a waiver to have michigan and osu always wear their home uniforms in The Game like usc and ucla do... we are past the age of black and white tv

Me too. It's an actual throwback look that is authentic.
The newspaper account of the Michigan Stadium dedication game against Ohio State in 1927 talks about the scarlet jerseys of the Ohio State players.

Here's a shop I made a few years ago of what the all-whites could look like:

I'm OK with this if Harbaugh is really going after the history with these uniform tweaks. Which seems to be the case. The guy gets it.

The only time we got to see the white uniforms during the season was on the local news sportscasts and of course in the tough loss to OU! I was 11 and still remember losing to OSU at the end of the season and to OU. Missouri, OSU and OU were the only games televised that season. But the white pants looked cool in the Orange Bowl.
