Jeremy Gallon at East-West Shrine Game

I might’ve missed them, but I can’t recall having seen any threads about Jeremy Gallon at the East-West Shrine Game in St. Petersburg, Florida that will be played this Saturday.

The best receiver today was Michigan’s Jeremy Gallon, who consistently got the type of separation I was optimistic we’d see this week. The smallest receiver here, Gallon needed to prove he can get free route-wise other than on underneath drag routes and deep comebacks. So far, he’s done it this week. Much of it is thanks to his quickness at the top of his routes. He snaps his head around so quickly, transitioning from a smooth, appearing-to-be slow start into a quick burst away from his defender.
 
Another analyst says that Gallon should be linked to another player who once wore a winged helmet in college, University of Delaware alumnus Joe Flacco of the Baltimore Ravens.

Final Thoughts:
 
It might be time to revise the comment about Jeremy being “five-eight, but he plays like he’s five-nine.”  He was measured at 5-7 and 3/8 and 183 pounds.  (I suspect that his skill, his heart, his mind, his attitude and his video-bombing ability probably measured off the charts.)
 
In a surprise move, the bowl sponsors have Jeremy rooming with Jackmerius Tacktheritrix from Michigan State.

players of all time. Has everything you want in a receiver outside of prototype size and speed. Route running and separation, hands, high points the ball and gets it, elusive, and punt return ability.

he's tough, he's a good blocker, he runs great routes, he has great hands, he's not flashy or a prima donna, obvious team player.  I think he's a steal in the late rounds.  Can't wait to see him in the NFL.
