Is J'Marick Woods Reopening His Recruitment?

Submitted by MaizeMN on
I just saw 2 Crystal Ball predictions put in for J'Marick Wooda to MS St. on 247Sports. I know he's been a solid UM commit for quite a while, but it looks like at least 2 pundits believe he's going to flip. Has anyone on the board heard rumors, rumblings or ruminations that may lend some weight (or dispel) to the matter?

Both are state insiders for 24/7 and he just took an official there. He's already taken one to Arkansas before and Michigan and said he was solid to Michigan so this could just be bridalled optimism

...and he's been committed since late March, so I'm hoping it's just MS St. homeristic wishful thinking. He's got good size, decent speed and looks to be a solid prospect.

Nico seemed very comfortable as well. Woods was made aware of the depth chart and the difference between a 4year decision and a 40 year (Michigan). I'd be somewhat suprised if he flipped. He knows that JKP is not a competition for him and that their styles compliment eachother. This should be interesting. When dealing with the SEC you always have to put on your 3D bullshit goggles as they tend to do things interestingly.

I like to think that we are taking Hawkins as a safety because I thought that was the plan last year. Maybe Woods has a reason to look around? I don't know how this class is going to turn out. It seems if we hit on a lot of the big names that we're favored for, there's no way we keep all the existing commits. Something has to give.

It's gonna be another fun recruiting season!

If J'Mar doesn't feel it in Ann Arbor, then the next 4 or 5 star safety will step in and take his spot.

Do yourself a favor and ignore that stupid crystal ball feature. Most of the time there is no real inside information. One credible person like Wiltfong makes a guess and everyone follows suit. Or in this case two knuckleheads working at a Starksville Cracker Barrel.
