Izzone tells Robbie Hummel "I hope you tear your ACL again."
January 21st, 2012 at 5:16 PM ^
They had that asshat Tom Gholston front and center of the Izzone so you knew it was going to get low brow.
January 21st, 2012 at 5:17 PM ^
Novak caused someone a concussion. Nice job being a retard. I guess it comes natural to Michigan fans
January 21st, 2012 at 5:22 PM ^
Novak going for the ball and hitting a guy in the head in the middle of a fastbreak is totally the same thing as Gholston leaping on top of Denard Robinson after a play is over and ripping his facemask.
January 21st, 2012 at 5:23 PM ^
Don't listen to him, he is a well established Sparty troll. Paying attention to him does nothing to help the situation.
January 21st, 2012 at 5:41 PM ^
would charge a fee for membership. It would be a small price to pay to keep trolls away.
January 21st, 2012 at 6:40 PM ^
He may be a sparty troll, but his handle is correct.
January 21st, 2012 at 7:26 PM ^
My favorite part of being a mod is caving trolls, and having the remaining argument in the thread make NO sense. In this case, it looks like a bunch of people responded "EFFFFF YOUUUUUUU" to a reasonable comment.
January 21st, 2012 at 11:50 PM ^
trying to figure out what was so bad about the comment left up there...
January 21st, 2012 at 10:57 PM ^
It's not as far apart as you want to believe.. they're both filthy, inexcusable plays. Only difference is Gholston was punished for his.
January 21st, 2012 at 5:21 PM ^
Please find a hobby. Trolling shouldn't be one.
January 21st, 2012 at 5:22 PM ^
That's why the guy was back in the game at the next horn. Sparty on dude.
January 21st, 2012 at 5:23 PM ^
No he didn't. The guy sat out for 1 free throw.
January 21st, 2012 at 5:23 PM ^
You are missing a period at the end of your sentence.
Enjoy the rest of your stay in East Lansing.
January 21st, 2012 at 5:23 PM ^
First of all, grammar. Second, an injury by playing greasiest between the whistles is not the same as twisting a face mask at tr bottom of a pile.
January 21st, 2012 at 5:23 PM ^
*aggressive
January 21st, 2012 at 5:32 PM ^
Why would anything ever auto-correct to greasiest? I thought you might be trying to coin a new term, greasy, that is above gritty.
January 21st, 2012 at 7:27 PM ^
I completely thought I had just learned some new slang.
"So that's what the kids are saying these days, dagnabbit."
January 21st, 2012 at 5:28 PM ^
You have very big penis.
January 21st, 2012 at 5:32 PM ^
Banhammer.
January 21st, 2012 at 5:35 PM ^
So, if Michigan alumni are retarded, what does that make MSU alumni?
Sometimes it helps to know your place before you speak.
If you would like to be in the position of someone who is attending, or has attended the University of Michigan, maybe you should have studied harder in your youth. If it's just bad genes, sorry can't help you there.
January 21st, 2012 at 8:01 PM ^
I like making fun of Sparty fans as much as the next guy, but I have never been a fan of bashing MSU as an academic institution. Their psycho fans are not a reflection on the type of education you can receive there.
January 22nd, 2012 at 12:59 AM ^
They are an awful academic institution though
January 21st, 2012 at 8:26 PM ^
That's what Coach Dantonion was trying to relay to that babbling coach from Michigan yesterday. Know your position before you speak. Seems like a reasonable request. :)
January 21st, 2012 at 5:50 PM ^
No he didn't. The guy came back a few minutes later and finished the game.
January 21st, 2012 at 6:43 PM ^
Stay classy Sparty.
January 21st, 2012 at 5:19 PM ^
Stay classy East Lansing....
January 21st, 2012 at 5:20 PM ^
I heard that Dantonio was in the crowd and led the student section when he said, "Here's what we're gonna do. We're going to get other people on the court. People that aren't going to be playing for Purdue. How many of you guys want to play B1G basketball? Alright. You guys can go back in the corner."
January 21st, 2012 at 10:17 PM ^
"That's what we try to do. Forty minutes of unnecessary comments."
January 21st, 2012 at 5:21 PM ^
I hope the asshole that down-voted my post in the Tressel thread tears his ACL.
January 21st, 2012 at 5:34 PM ^
Personal attacks, even wishing for them, are pretty much a sure-fire to end up in Bolivia
January 21st, 2012 at 6:56 PM ^
Was he serious? I thought it was a joke in light of the post. I was caught off guard and almost lol'd.
January 21st, 2012 at 5:26 PM ^
It's kind of sad. There are WAY too many Sparty threads.
January 21st, 2012 at 6:02 PM ^
was a fragrance. This is a life-changing revelation.
January 21st, 2012 at 6:53 PM ^
it's the offseason. nothing wrong with the occasional OSU, MSU, or notre dame thread, especially when there are news stories covering the incident.
January 21st, 2012 at 5:26 PM ^
60 minutes of unnecessary roughness can really make a 40 minute basketball game miserable.
January 21st, 2012 at 5:44 PM ^
The laws of karma dictate that whoever said that about Hummel will have his own ACL torn while leaping from a burning couch.
January 21st, 2012 at 5:51 PM ^
Izzo will scream and rant
The rcbm will have 10 threads on how great the Izzone is
Dantonio will proclaim he's "proud of how his students cheered"
And Hollis will just keep on Tweeting

How did so many douchebags find themselves in one cow pasture of a town?
January 21st, 2012 at 5:53 PM ^
Whats up with Izzo bring AA into this? No reason to
January 21st, 2012 at 6:09 PM ^
He didn't. AA was mentioned in the comments by a Sparty fan, but Izzo didn't say anything about AA or UofM (or if he did, it wasn't quoted in the article).
EDIT: I may be wrong, Izzo may have brought up something he heard in Ann Arbor later in the press conference. I'll give you an upvote to show you I regret my oversight.
January 21st, 2012 at 6:13 PM ^
He more or less defended/rationalized the Izzone's actions by accusing the Michigan student section of saying things about his "mother's grandmother's grandma." He went on to tell the reporters that brought up the issue that "you guys weren't on the floor in Ann Arbor."
January 21st, 2012 at 6:15 PM ^
really if he did that's almost too good to be true
January 21st, 2012 at 6:18 PM ^
So even Izzo can't talk about MSU sports without mentioning U of M?
Wow.
January 21st, 2012 at 6:21 PM ^
more like he dismissed it. I think he was probably just trying to say that fans are butal and that it has nothing to do with the game. He mentioned that if he knew who it was or found out that he would throw them out of the izzone. The Michigan stuff was pointless and he should have just left it alone but its not a big deal by any means. Should be funny to have Tom Izzo through Gholsten out of the Izzone though.
January 21st, 2012 at 6:57 PM ^
I do find it funny though that's Izzo's talking out of both sides of his mouth.
Yesterday, in response to Brandon Wood's poor performance, Izzo made a little dig at U-M saying:
"I thought we had a couple guys that had a deer-in-the-headlights look. I don't know why. I really don't. It wasn't the most hostile place we played in or anything like that." Read more: http://www.battlecreekenquirer.com/article/20120121/SPORTS/201210319
Now today, when it suits his purposes, he's crying about how mean the U-M fans were to him and his team.
Which one is it, Tom?

It seems like the Izzone, more often than not, is becoming more and more of a problem. They've been a consistent focal point of Izzo's ire this season, between constant texting during games to perceived apathy to stuff like this. There's growing resentment against the organization that runs them, displeasure in their passion from alums in particular and the fanbase in general, the list goes on and on.
Basically, I wouldn't be surprised if there were some serious changes to the Izzone after this season. They've all but jumped the shark.
