Disagree. I feel really good about our offense. We lost to a good team. When you put it all out there like we did, it doesn't hurt as bad - especially when we are still a top 10 team. Clean up the turnovers and let's use our TEs more in the red zone. Going to learn more from that game than the close wins vs Rutgers and Nebraska.

Also - this team has only lost to MSU once. It's the fans that are relegated to carrying the baggage of the teams before this one. This team has something to prove and a ton of talent that is only going to get better. Definitely feels different.

I hear what you’re saying, but blowing a 30-14 lead in the final 1.5 quarters is what makes the loss more excruciating than a “normal” loss. It’s not like UM and MSU went back and forth and MSU just happened to get the ball last. The team self-destructed over the final 1.5 quarters and was outscored 23-3. Turnovers, drops, failing to capitalize on MSU mistakes, the defense looking completely lost, bad play calls, etc.

Compared to the way Michigan typically loses to MSU, this wasn't all that painful. After MSU got their first TD to trim it to 8, I saw the writing on the wall. And after the fumble, I knew it was over.

Compare this to trouble with the snap, spartan bob- this was nothing.

Actually I saw the writing on the wall with the “holding” call on Andrel in the 1st qtr when we were about to change the game 14-0.

And sure enough it was an avalanche of bullshit calls.

If Warde is not asking Kevin Warren for some type of understanding on who was in the review booth and what his history is I’m not sure we can ever trust the game.

I don't disagree, but the team scored 10 straight points after that to take a 16-point lead.

If you can't hold a 16-point lead in the 2nd half, you probably don't deserve to win, even if you got screwed out of 4 points by the refs.

In the Sunday night game tonight, an NFL ref called a defender for a personal foul when an RB lowered his helmet and rammed directly into his head.  The defender barely moved.  The call changed things from being 4th down and punt to game over.  Ridiculous, terrible, incompetent call.  But that is what you just had to deal with in football.  No one seems to be able to find good officials, even replay officials.  And stupid horrible stuff like the call tonight can't even be replayed.  So you are stuck having to play through bullshit in almost every game.

I have said it before. I have a good source that is clear to me, Warde is not doing anything when Michigan gets bent. He is a very useless leader. He is well liked as a person but is not a strong AD in that area. He gets way too much credit for Juwan. Juwan would have come here for any AD. I am hoping the next President reviews his work closely.

I guess I don’t understand what you’re saying. The team never came back because after MSU took the lead late, UM never scored again. The first drive they had with a chance to win the game only happened because UM fumbled the ball with the lead on their previous possession and then the defense let MSU move right down the field. That’s hardly something to celebrate. And then the team had their drive stall out at about the 30 yard line. I guess it’s nice that the defense gave the offense another shot, but that’s hardly anything to hang your hat on considering how the defense otherwise imploded in the final 1.5 quarters.

I mean shit happens, especially with an oblong ball that bounces kinda randomly.  Felt shitty the rest of the weekend not gonna lie but if we beat ohio it will have been a great season. If State wins out and takes the division crown without giving us a chance to get back in the race, more power to them.

How is the contemporary state of Michigan football not the Lions?

Lions criticisms:

Don't make the playoffs -- Michigan, check!

Fiercely loyal to incompetent management -- Michigan, check!

Finds ways to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory -- Michigan, check!

... an then there's selling out the stadium despite long-term mediocrity -- Michigan, check!

I am a Lions fan and this is not like that at all. 4 team playoff is equivalent to NFL playoff? No. Uncheck.

Incompetent management? You mean the AD? Or the coach? We have winning seasons. Not the same.

Find ways to lose? Really? Didn't we just win against NEB by making a play in the last drive. Lions lost by a record FG. Not the same.

Don't pile on Michigan just to pile on it.

Well. OK, I agree that it is harder to make a 4-team CF playoff then the a larger field NFL playoff. so let's just replace the 4-team playoff with B1G East champion ........never

Or maybe a B1G championship......last 2004

I really don't think one of those every 5 years or so is asking too much, do you ?

Yep, feels like OSU 2016.  Refs kept the game close until the home team seized the momentum.  Better team lost. Tough to be sledding up hill all game.

Total screw job.  All officials should have their finances looked into...yesterday was egregious.
