I remember a day when the Freep used to be pro Michigan. Now I use it for cheap toilet paper. A bit rough around the edges but it works.

Somehow, when I read the phrase "Liar, liar, pants on fire," I can't help thinking of Pee Wee Herman. For that matter, I would be willing to bet that Pee Wee could do a better job of writing about college football than Henning.
For that matter, Henning's writing is beginning to look, at least metaphorically, exactly like what Pee Wee got arrested for in that theater.
