Absolutely need the offense to find some kind of rhythm quickly.

It’s gonna be a fancy shmancie day with this fancy shmancie slate of games. I shall consume some fancy shmancie ale today. Perhaps I’ll tap my inner Tyrion and drink fancy shmancie wine. I also need to see a fancy shmancie link in a reply to a person’s OP, because apparently some folks don’t understand fancy shmancie links work in fancy shmancie OPs.

In ten years when The NCAA dissolves and the Mark Cuban organization takes over and tradition is totally dead, I propose we exclude Illinois from our conference. They are pointless along with Rutgers.

Wow. I didn’t look at the slate in detail until a few minutes ago. This is going to be a good day of football. The best games are usually played in October and November. This time of year is so great.

Ugh...  I just can't get excited for this game.  I've tried.  But fatalistic me is seeing a good offensive performance, ala Rutger, that won't translate next week.  It'll be filled with false hope, as happens so often.  It'll be followed by coaches exclaiming 'great performance, really saw the field well' and players saying 'we're gonna show'em next week, going to prove ourselves'...

Only to see another 10 point offensive outburst because Shea can't look past a double teamed first read and bails from a pocket that I could throw from.

I'm not usually the nihilistic jackass, and can normally beat back BPONE, but dammed if it isn't gaining a foothold!  But you know what?  Fuck off, bpone - you don't even get caps!

Looking forward to burying Ill under a pile of points that gives everyone time to work out some more kinks.  Maybe we'll get to see a lot of Milton early enough to see what we have in a backup for next week, if DCaff still isn't a go?

45-10, Blue.

Well, if Shea runs 6 to 8 times that will be a good sign.

If Shea connects on 4 different bombs, that will be a good sign.

If Shea goes to a better option even if the first one is open, that will be a good sign.

If Dylan starts that will tell us something.

There is a lot to look forward to.

I finally got my kids soccer game early enough that I should be able to watch the majority of it on my tv. My phone works in a pinch but it's not the big screen! Plus they frown on drinking beers at kids soccer games I guess.

I'm excited about this game for a few reasons.

1. Its a chance to see if the team can undo the kerfuffle that was our offense in every non-Rutgers game this year.  Like, see if what they do during practice actually comes out on the field.

2. See if they try something new at QB.  I think its a perfect opportunity to throw Milton (or McCaf if healthy) in to start, keeping Patterson warm on the sidelines in case it fails.  We know how the Offense looks under Patterson, we won't get another try this year.

3. Watch the Defense sack their QB so much to see if we get to the true walk on.

Rumor down in Illinois is that Milton is starting. Shea not even dressing. Have zero idea if true, but that was word from some Michigan fans as we passed them in the hotel lobby. We shall see.
