WTF did I just watch?  I thought you were kidding.

When the entire video focuses on their punter, might as well just toss in the towel.  How embarrassing to present this as hype video.  Even by Iowa's standards.

Honestly, this is part of why I love college football.  These are not fair weather fans, these guys (possibly?) love their team.  And when the team is really only good at certain parts of the game, they lean all the way in and love that part of the sport, embracing their team's strengths and enjoying the sport where they can.  They are still - rightfully - proud of their team's dominance (for certain very narrow definitions of dominance) and are having a great time.

Or, they are doing what they can for their mental health and coping with despair, loss and the inevitable with the healthiest mental outlook they can muster.  Which is still admirable, just in a different manner.

If they are so bad ass, why don't they punt on 3rd down? They put their pants on the same way we do. Except when we put our pants on, we make maize & blue records.

With all the hype and the forgone conclusions that this game is a lock... This just feels like a game where Michigan could end up struggling? Crazy things happen in college football. They have not overlooked any team this year but it’s human nature for college kids playing football to eventually buy into their own supply, especially when winning has been happening week in and week out.

Michigan is of the few teams that can consistently out-Iowa Iowa.  In fact, Michigan - especially this year - is better in all facets than Iowa at Iowa-ing.  Maybe punting is a push...  While UM might have some difficulty moving the ball against the Iowa D (which is legit fucking good), Iowa will have no hope of moving the ball on Michigan's D (which is also legit fucking good).

Want to Iowa the game?  Okay...  Michigan has the DNA to limit risk of mistakes by turtling the offense into a run heavy identity - and is quite happy to do so.  In fact, there is risk that Michigan will turtle up so much that this becomes a real 'Iowa' game - a field position battle against who makes the first mistake.

A 2008 Michigan hype video would’ve exclusively featured Zoltan Mesko.  He was absolutely the team’s MVP that year.  He punted 80 times, compared to 40 or so for Doman this year.

From spending time on the various opponents blogs, I can say that there isn't a single team in the Big Ten as self-aware as Iowa.  They know what they are, and what they're not.  They celebrate their victories, they don't really like all the mocking they get, but they are totally honest about the awesome defense / terrible offense dichotomy that is Iowa football.

You say, "Is this real, or parody?".  I say, "yes."
