Not only Michigan beat Texas A&M tonight to advance in the NCAA Tournament but Ferris State beat West Texas A&M to advance to the Division 2 National Championship game.

It must be fate!

Wait. So because a school from Michigan beat a school from Texas to go to the elite 8 and another school from Michigan beat another school from Texas beat a team TO GO to the championship in D2, that means we are going to the championship? I’m ALL IN.

this team vs 2013 team who wins (or maybe 2014 or last years team).

Defensively this team just locks you up I might take this years edition despite the lack of head to head NBA talent

Also interesting:

ESPN predicted this:

Michigan won't solve its scoring issues against Texas A&M ...
John Beilein's offense has totally disappeared in the NCAA tournament, scoring less than one point per possession against both Montana and Houston last weekend. Facing Texas A&M isn't exactly the cure for the Wolverines. The Aggies have emerged as a top-10 defense late in the season, holding four of their past five opponents below one point per possession. They're big, they're physical, they block shots, and they contest shots. Michigan won't be able to get much going off the bounce against A&M.
... but Moritz Wagner will
With that said, Michigan's best bet to beat Texas A&M might be from the perimeter, which suits the Wolverines just fine. While this is one of Beilein's worst shooting teams since he arrived in Ann Arbor, the Wolverines generally play with five players who can shoot from the perimeter. Looking at some of Texas A&M's games against perimeter-oriented opponents, the Aggies can be beaten from 3. Florida made 17 3-pointers against A&M, while Kansas shot 12-for-26 from behind the arc. Of course, Michigan got plenty of open shots against Montana and Houston -- they just didn't fall. In this one, Wagner will snap out of his mini-slump.

this part was way wrong, though:  "Michigan won't be able to get much going off the bounce against A&M."  I'm still seeing Z zip through the paint for layups and Matthews dribbling in circles under the basket, completely turning their post defenders around.  Rahk had a couple pretty plays, too.  I think folks get caught up in our perimeter game and forget we have a couple decent slashers.

I don’t think folks forget anything. They don’t know anything and make shit up.

ESPN Article guy: “What do I know about Michigan? They shoot a lot of threes and have that tall German guy. Oh, but they didn’t shoot well in the one game I saw highlites of last weekend, except for that miracle shot of course. And Texas A&M has some big guys and looked really good against UNC.” Article written.
