Inside Michigan Football Bowl Preview

Buffalo wild wing bowl preview. Not much new just that Morris might start over Gardner. Very emotional speech by Lewan. Lets hope for a big win over Holy Cross followed by a win vs KSU. Hope you enjoy. GO BLUE!!

Serious offer: Would you like to make a wager on this? I'd be willing to bet, say, $500 that Jeremy Gallon is on an active 53-man roster for an NFL game next season or the season after at the latest (and that'd be after spending time on a practice squad). He is the prototypical NFL slot receiver, really. Yes, he doesn't have "elite" speed, but that's the point- you put elite speed guys on the outside, usually. He has all the tools to be an NFL slot receiver, as being an NFL slot receiver requires one thing, generally: Getting open on non-fly routes.  No one can cover him in a small space, he is tough as nails, and catches damn near everything.

If you (or anyone else) wants to take me up on this wager-- one which I'm serious about-- shoot Brian an email with this comment, and he'll provide you my email address (the one associated with my account). I like taking people's money.

Then Morris will play the entire game. I'm sure he'll have some bright spots but also have some disastrous plays. I hope the running game can improve. We will need the young interior line to block well. Just hope it is a close game. It would be awful to end the season getting blown out by KSU!

The Quinton Washington segment at the end was one of the best segments I have ever seen on this show.   Congrats to a brave young man, and congrats to his teammates for helping to bail him out at the end.

Say what you want about either coach for the last five years, but Michigan is continuing to develop their players as men off the field and positioning them for future success.  Parents of recruits can't ask for more than that.

After our tough year, this is still a great opportunity for our younger players to get some real game experience and build on the OSU game. If Gardner is at all hurt, then getting him healthy for next year is more important than risking a more serious injury for a win against KSU. Moreover, with Gardner out there is actually less pressure on Morris and our expectations should be exactly what we would expect from a Frosh QB. If he plays well, then we, as fans, should do what we can to try to tone down a QB rivalry between Morris and Gardner next year. I'm looking forward to the game and hope Gardner gets healthy and Morris gets some confidence.

I'd prefer Gardner to start, of course, because he's a very talented guy who can give us a big game if he's given a little protection. Morris is inexperienced, and often that comes back to bite a QB.

But if Gardner can't start, it's a great opportunity for this young man to step up and show us why he was a highly ranked recruit.

He talked the talk, now it is time to walk the walk.

If we can run, he'll be fine.  I got a hunch KSU is going to try to make him pass though--and that will be what decides this game.
