I will be curious to see the Linebacking UFR later this week....

Does anyone have any initial thoughts oh how Ezeh, Mouton and company performed?  I know Matt Millen raved about Ezeh plugging the gap and taking on 2 blockers which allowed Floyd to put a hat on the ball and cause the critical fumble (which Ezeh recovered).  Also, Obi made the key 4th down tackle in the 4th quarter.

However, Notre Dame's 4 vertical spread scheme scares me for next week since they like to work that area behind the backers and in front of the safties.

Any more experieced coaches have any thoughts?  All-in-all, a good victory and I'll take it!

Mouton was all over the place and roughin' up fools like holy s***. I think he looked vastly improved from last year.

Ezeh played much better as well, he looks more agile and smarter, although he still did miss a tackle or two and make a couple wrong reads.

Roh was a beast edge-rushing, he was half a second away from a sack at least 3-4 times, he hit the hole well, and only missed a tackle or two.

Carvin/Prison Abs weren't anything special, but for two kids that haven't seen the field yet, they did a solid job. No gaping mistakes from the linebackers=improvement.

Ezeh did some good things in there.  There was at least one play in pass coverage that irked me (he bit on a play fake on third-and-long), but that play near the goal line was pretty good.  He scraped to the hole and read the play pretty quickly.  He didn't exactly hold his ground, but the pulling guard who blocked him was 325 lbs.  If Ezeh didn't get there, the guard probably would have crushed J.T. Floyd and the ball carrier would have followed him into the end zone.

He's playing physical.....that's good.

He not very nimble in pass coverage....that's not so good.

I saw him get blocked 5+ yards down field one time, and run by the ball carrier another time.....that's bad.

Mouton looked significantly better and also significantly not as bad, if you know what I mean with his mind-boggling mistakes.

Ezeh was a mixed bag trending towards positive.

Didn't see much of Moundros to be honest but I wasn't really paying THAT CLOSE attention to them. Too excited at the lack of pain being inflicted on my soul to really see straight.
