I'm excited to see Fitzgerald next year!!!
I know most you have already seen his video but I just watched it again. Coming into this year other than the quarterbacks I was most excited to see how he would do on the college level. I think this kid is going to be a stud. Hopefully he can get on the field next year and show what he can do. Do the rest of you guys share my excitement for this kid?

Since he was a Sophmore at Liberty i have shared it ... kid got that stop and go on a dime quickness ... some Brian Westbrook in him

Video says 5'9" Rivals says 5'10" so somewhere around there. Barry Sanders and I think height is overrated when it comes to runningbacks.

I have seen him on campus a few times. My estimate is about 5'9". A true 5'9" that is, not the fake exaggerated kind. In other words, he is definitely taller than Mike Hart or Kevin Grady.

but is anyone concerned at all about graduating 3 senior RB's when we still have Shaw, Smith, Toussaint, and Cox? Plus more on the way!

I am, simply because I'm not sold on any of the returning guys being able to put a solid hit on a blitzing LB freeing up Tate to make a clutch throw in a big game (read: Minor vs. Notre Dame).

That's just fine. That just means you'll be seeing more of the FB in the backfield, i.e. Moundros. Instead of running two halfback sets, or just one, you'll see both one of our halfbacks and a fullback in the backfield. Or Cox. And to be honest, Shaw has shown a lot of grit this year. I didn't think that kid could grind it out, but I've seen him dragging two guys at a time in some plays this year.

you can even possibly line up Koger in the backfield next to the QB to do some blocking. Putting a TE back there can put more wrinkles in the play book.

Off subject but I hope someone teaches Je'Ron Stokes how to block cause he looked very lackluster in that department against Deleware State. Very non-agressive.

Fitz injured himself in fall camp (a shoulder or something if I recall) and we didn't really need to waste him this season with all the depth.

Wasn't Smith an early enrollment? I think so and I don't think Fitz was here till camp started. The preparation time Smith put in makes a huge difference in a freshman playing or not

I don't see any downside whatsoever to having this roster full of bad ass backs - Shaw, Smith, Cox, Toussaint, etc. The more the merrier.

This kid runs real angry and is very hard to take down... relentless. I am excited to see how he develops.

I'm more upbeat about Shaw, Smith, and Cox, cuz you know, I've actually seen them play against D-1 talent. One knock on Toussaint was his level of competition in high school; he has a nice highlight video, but let's see how he does against legit competition before getting all excited. I'm expecting Cox, Smith, and Shaw to get the vast majority of the carries next year.

Believe it was a mid-level division in Ohio. I believe Fitz's senior year, they destroyed most teams, but when they played half-decent teams, him and his team struggled. Don't get me wrong, I like the kid alot. But once a kid gets on campus, forget about the high school highlights. This is where the men get separated from the boys.

This kid looks like a shifty little sob. One of those kids you see sitting in class that can't sit still. Some sweet little hops and jukes in that video. Those could be deadly in space.

I love Fitz. He's lightning in a bottle. But I live about 5 mins from Fitz's HS and used to coach against his HS team. He has the potential to be special, but he is going to be Carlos Brown version 2.0 if you ask me. His durability is a serious, serious issue.
