How Will the Football Team Approach Ohio St This Season?

Submitted by Santa Clause on

I know our defense will be different (and better), but how do you guys think it will be deployed vs Ohio St? And what about our offense? Will it be more up tempo, more aggressive, or the same? These questions have been bugging me for days, and I would really appreciate all of your input (especially Magnus and Space Coyote).

Our scheme against their offense last year was poor from the start. We didn't use our ends to contain and our LB's were at a major speed disadvantage to their players, namely Elliot. I hope we force their game inside the tackles where we are stout and we need our space players to be more athletic/faster against elite spread teams. insert Peppers at Sam here.

I think that they will approach by running with their feet in a "left, right, left, right" pattern.  Unless they utilize the "right, left, right, left" pattern.

But that's not the best approach to the stadium. You should exit US23 when it hits 270 and then take 315 south down to campus. They might even take the 750 over to I-71 if 270 or 315 are jacked up, which they probably will be for this year's Game. US 23 turns into High Street and there are dozens of stoplights and heavy traffic once you get near the city.

Anyway, I would say any sort of defensive gameplan is dependent on the Buckeye's run game without Elliot. Mike Weber has been getting some hype, but it's hard to picture him filling those shoes in his first year. The Buckeye D is probably taking a step back, and if O'Korn can give Michigan a dual-threat QB with a multi-headed monster at RB and 3 all-conference WR/TE... I like the way it's shaping up on paper.

With all that said... it's June. Who the hell knows anything about how either of these teams are going to look in 5 months? Certainly not anyone here.

Definitely get off on North Broadway or Ackerman from 315S and park as close as you can to the gast station next to the Red Roof Inn. Sure, the walk into the stadium is a mile, but the walk out puts you a mile ahead of all the congestion on Olentangy Road, and allows for a short and easy back on-ramp situation.

Plus side: you're not walking past any students, or the madness on High. You just pass the tamer boosters who have lot access at the Fawcett Center and the Schott. Plus since there's so much traffic post-game, no one can really gain enough speed to run you down on the walk home :D

Here's what I think will happen:

When the QB gets the ball, he'll fake to the left. NO! He'll fake...to the right.

He doesn't fake. He thinks about faking. He pretends to fake.

....

I don't know where I am. I can't breathe.

Lady year's loss was not a surprise but the size of the loss was. This year we expect to and will win. We gone jam a maize and blue dick up that buckeye ass this year.

All I want is a win up in the Horse Shoe been too long since Michigan has won in Ohio and I just want to beat OSU for a change as well.
