HoundSports Article on '14-'15 MBB
This article could be summed up in 3 words: Beilein Uber Alles. Hope you enjoy! It's the 2nd article I've ever written so go easy on me. Haha.

I'm on my phone right now so I apologize if this link is just text.
Who cares about the fucking formatting? A link is all I need.
Good read.
I'm afraid if I click that link, its going to take me to a world filled with shemale porn. Then I'll get nothing accomplished today.
well written.
As for the website (HoundSports)? I'm going to look at it some more, but judging from your one linked column, it's already far better than sites like ChatSports and Bleacher Report, not that they set the bar very high, though.
Ric Bucher went from ESPN to Bleacher Report will always be funny to me.
The fact that ESPN won't lick my b-hole will always be disappointing to me.
That said, decent, but not earth-shattering read. You didn't really cover any new ground, but I completely respect any effort to promotoe MMB. Good luck to you, sir.
I can honestly see how you were confused by my typo and felt the need to point it out. I award myself no points, and may god have mercy upon my soul. MBB(!) now and forever!
That was a nice read. Thanks for sharing this with the board!
To answer one of the questions posed at the end, I definite have hope for 2014 if we're talking about my belief that Michigan might be capable of a similar showing to this past season if not better perhaps. It seems to me that, in these years of watching Beilein's offense evolve at Michigan, it has matured to a point where, if we continue to recruit and develop as we do, then there is an element of plug-and-play involved. That is to say, either a remaining or incoming player can take on the role of one that has left, or that role can be dispersed among other players and very little if any efficiency is lost. We saw this in this past season and it was the most efficient offense in Division I.
Please take the time to post links to your articles (please note Magnus and Tough The Banner have literally made a living of such a practice) on a regular basis. I fear I might now expect this team to comptete for a B1G article after the read. I will be thrilled if they make the tournament yet again. In any event I want DB to pay everyone to keep them put.
Hey thanks for the words of encouragement. I'll keep the board posted for those who are interested. Go Blue!
This article could be summed up in 3 words: Beilein Uber Alles
Your user name is "I Wrote A Four Word Letter." I would have found it extremely entertaining if you summed up your article in 4 words rather than 3.
If I'd written on/for MGoBlog, I probably would have thought of it. Since I wrote it for HoundSports, I didn't. Opportunity wasted. What about: "Beilein REALLY Uber Alles"?
SWITCHED!
the coming season. I guess there is nothing wrong with that. Beilein is a terriffic coach with a great staff and they have proven themselves time after time. But, as we have learned with the football program, past success doesn't guarantee future success. You can't just pull on the winged helmet and expect to win at a high rate, even with pretty good talent.
We return only 2 starters and no seniors. Even though our past few teams have been very young, we have had experienced starters and usually some depth. This year, we will have only 5 players who have seen action and 7 who will be playing their first game in a Wolverine uniform. I think that Michigan can be a pretty good team by the end of the year, but I doubt if we will be challenging for any championships. I hope that they can exceed my expectations, but I fear that too many fans are taking our past success for granted.
In today's basketball, most teams don't have many (or any) seniors returning. If they do, they typically haven't been playing as well as their superstar younger guys. If they had been playing that well, they'd have left for the NBA. It's one of the things that frustrates me about modern college basketball, but it is what it is. How many seniors did we return this year that actually played? Horford was a lightly-used redshirt junior, and Morgan was a 5th year senior.
So I think this year's team will likely follow last year's trend since it again has so many young guys -- possibly struggle at first, but develop and mature as the year goes on. By the B1G Season they'll be rounding into shape, and by the NCAA Tournament they'll be one of the top teams. That's what I'm anticipating again.
Agreed. But I think you misread what I wrote.
From the article: "Replacing Darius Morris was a lightly-recruited 3-star PG who everybody wrote off as an impossibility for filling the team-MVP shoes that Morris was leaving behind." I wasn't saying Morris was a lightly-recruited 3-star PG, but his replacement (Trey Burke) was. The article essentially deals with the time period immediately following Morris' departure.
