Nice article.  They say the class should be 23-25, but could be as high as 26.  How they'll get that through, who knows.

having a plan on how to get there and planning on getting there are 2 different things.  he might plan for attrition but hopefully his plan isnt anything SEC-ish, because that is a good amount of extra spots.  Also, why wouldnt kids leave before the beginning of this season instead of using up another year of eligibility?  I mean, I assume that the kids leaving are the ones not getting playing time in this new offense, so why sit the bench for another year?

each recruits school/district.  Gardener was an instructive case for this issue.  He was allowed by special vote of the district to EE due to his special circumstance (I don't remember the original issue but an exception was made.)  This can come down to pretty nitty gritty issues of a student's record and performance.

In the end - it's a big commitment for these guys to pass up on 1/2 of their senior year in HS.  I doubt some them know exactly what it takes to get this done (Magnuson - would be the exception - though ideally if not surely he will RS.)

Strobel was mentioned as another commit who is a possible EE candidate.

Hoke mentioned that all 20 recruits from the previous class are on track to qualify. I don't remember the last time that we didn't have one or two good ones slip away due to grades or whatever. This is impressive on the part of the kids, as they have been doing their work and keeping their act together, and also the coaching staff, as it means that they are doing a good job identifying kids with good academics, who are solid citizens.

how to say the right things, doesn't he?  Maybe it's the spring/summer (whatever season we call this weather in Michigan), but it just makes you want to see these kids play and cheer on the boys in blue.  Math be damned - take that Newton, shove it Einstein - somehow we'll Forrest Gump our way through the numbers and sign however many kids want to come.  It's that time of year to forget the past and when hope is reborn.

Here's pointing right back at you, Coach - Go Blue!

Let's hope for 26. My motto is collect the talent first and worry about what to do with it later.

If some of the players from Rich Rod's regime want to leave, then so be it

If they handed out National Coach of the Year based on a guy's ability to hit every PR note perfectly and make the fans feel great about their program, Hoke should win unanimously.  He is as in love with Michigan and the Michigan Football Program as we are. That's a cool thing. Feeling good about everything is tangible because it was so needed.
