3-2 in OT!  The review refs got it right this time, and Michigan moves on to face the winner of BC and Colorado College.  What a comeback for Michigan, down 2-0 about 9 minutes into the game.

this is like watching USC of the 05-06 era lose by 50 to UCLA or something.

also, our GWG was really not that controversial. ESPNU needs to stop yammering about it. Can you provide me one shread of evidence that it was not in the net? The whole goalie was in the net and the puck can be seen in the net. I guess that what happens when you sit 2 guys at a desk and tell them to talk about 4 college hockey games for 4 straight hours

I am so tired of this ESPN studio crew trashing the video review of the winning goal.  It was clearly a goal.  The problem, though, is that the NCAA rules guy they just had on just threw fuel on the fire by saying that the definitive view for the officials was the overhead.  That's just stupid.  The higher opposite end shot showed that there was white between the puck and the goal line and that the puck was not on edge.  That's a goal, no matter how close the overhead made it look.  Why they would be saying the overhead was the definitive view is really confusing.  I'm still kind of confused why neither of the announcers, or the supposed experts on the ESPN studio show, will mention this when talking about this goal.

Oh, I really don't care all that much, and you are 100% right, but it just makes the NCAA look bad (if it's possible to make them look worse) when it comes to their officiating for college hockey.  If the NCAA "rules editor" would have just pointed to the obvious view, instead of the obscured overhead, as the definitive view, there never would have been any "controversy" to begin with.
