And fh Harrison looks reallly strong. Michigan should go after Harrison TE/DE Devin Funchess 6'5" 205 lb Junior. They have a couple guys I think we could go after.

From Harison, it's probably Burbridge and Ojemudia first and foremost. Ojemudia looks like an interesting prospect at either of the outside linebacker positions, and you can put Burbridge anywhere, that kid is just a freak.

Sacred Heart's punter kicked a ridiculous 74-yard punt (originated from inside his team's own 10, ball landed inside Saugatuck's 20). I wonder if his field goal kicking is just as good. He also had a punt return for a touchdown and a receiving score too.

Michigan has too many divisions.  They need to go down to 6.  The state doesn't produce enough football talent (or good teams) to justify having 8 divisions.  That D8 game was over at halftime.

I'm heading down tomorrow night for the D3 finals between OLSM and EGR. Should be a great game plus I want to watch the LB from OLSM, James Ross. He and Royce Jenkins-Stone should be the two biggest targets (in-state wise) for RR next year.

I don't know anything about Lowell, but some standouts for Harison include Malaj and Ojemudia on the defensive line, Burbridge and Vento at wide receiver, Head at linebacker (too small, but he'll get picked up somewhere and get moved around), and Vento (QB) looks like he could go somewhere. If you're reffering to big time recruiting, Ojemudia and Burbridge have gotten LSU letters among many others.

Wow, Lowell has decided their athletes are just as good, and look like they'll bring it out of that 'NFL 3rd down' formation all game. Unless that's typical for them, that's a gutsy way to gameplan for Harison. Clearly has paid of so far though.

Will be heading down tomorrow to catch all four games. Going specifically to watch Olivet play GRWC. Hope they can pull one more upset as nobody gave them love. First year in division 5 and they are kicking ass.

Interesting to see Olivet in the State finals. I played my last football game of my High School career against Olivet. If you follow their team you might remember the 2004 playoffs against Albion? We were down 21-14 and had 1st and goal inside the 5 late in the 4th quarter and couldn't punch it in. That is how my playing days ended.

I graduated in 94' but have followed the team. Now my kids go there and we haven't missed a game in a few years. Olivet gets into the playoffs often, but they usually don't make it out of districts. I do remember that game. It was a good one. We moved from class C to class B this year. We also moved into a new stadium. It is sweet. Top notch with tons of room and artificial turf. Best I have seen in any of our high school travels. Go EAGLES!

That stadium is theres? Or are they playing at the same place as the college plays? I know when I played there it was a really rinky dink place. Albion fans didn't even have enough bleachers to sit on for that game and we didn't really travel well as a football school. Nice to see Olivet in the football state finals though even though I'm still a bit bitter about how days ended lol.

We just built a new place over the last year and a half and opened it this year for football season.  They used it for track last year as well.  We did play some games at Olivet College though.  The new field is nicer than the colleges, but seats about 400 less than theirs does.  It has a nice brick front to it and the field it spectacular.  You are right about not having enough seating for games in the past.  The visitors section was horrible and so was thee home side of the field.  I can say that Olivet does travel well and we will stack Ford Field deep tomorrow.

BTW......if you think the old Olivet field was terrible you ought to check out the seating at Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard.  They have enough seating for about 100 people.  It was packed when we were there for our playoff game.

Nice solid game for the Irish (Sacred Heart), I work and live in Mt Pleasant and had quite a few co-workers who had son's playing in this game.

Great to see the program win its 1st state title and for them to finally step out of Beal Citys shadow which is a fellow D8 team about 10 minutes outside of town who perinnelly have a solid football team and have went to the finals quite a bit in the previous decade.  SH's only loss came against Beal City in the 1st game of the year, with the playoff rematch going SH's way by an absolute demolishing of that team kind of like todays game.

I'm originally from Ithaca and my dad is a teacher at the school. He told me this Nitznak (sp?) kid is the real deal. His line for one game earlier this year (and I know it's class C or whatever they call it these days, but still impressive): 3 rushes for around 160 yards and 2 tds and 3 passes for 150 yards and 2 tds. The kid is going to be impressive at the next level. He broke the MHSAA record for tds today. The kid is impressive.
